I went for a great hike today with an old and dear friend - it was a bit bittersweet since he is moving to Texas next week.  But we had a great time on this wonderful trail. The hike we went on was called Silver Dollar Lake - it was a 6 mile trip with lots of elevation gain. We started at 10,500 and ended up at 12,550. I really felt the altitude this time, there were a few times that my head began to spin. But I finally got acclimated and made it up no problem. There was lots of mud and rocks to climb over, and the last section of the trail was STEEP!!! We both felt pretty good that we made it! here are some pics for ya - one of the lakes was a gorgeous green and it actually came out pretty good in the pics. Have a great week everyone - I'm heading out of town for the week (where I will, of course, do some hiking )

The photos are gorgeous!  Congrats on such a great weight loss!  I'm just starting out, but very anxious to get the surgery! Lori

Great pictures, PJ.  Looks like a fun day with your friend, even if it was bittersweet.  I'm suddenly wishing I still lived in Colorado so I could visit these types of places regularly....   Kellie
