MONDAY WEIGH IN!

Marge asked me to coordinate the weigh in for the next two weeks, so I thought I'd post a bit early so the East Coast folks don't have to wait half the day for me to log on and open the scales. Did everyone have a good weekend?  It was hot and rainy (off and on) here in our part of Colorado.  I went to see the musical, "The Little Mermaid," and was sorely disappointed.  I was expecting something on the caliber of "The Lion King," and it didn't happen.  I also went on a drive out in the country, and did my exercising on both days.  The house is a sty, and if I don't clean my bedroom soon, the Board of Health will be stopping by with a summons.  Maybe tomorrow...  Hop on those scales and let us know how you're doing.  If you're doing well, shout it from the rooftop.  If you aren't doing well, still shout it from the rooftop.  We don't do shame in this forum, so no need to feel any! I'll post my weight tomorrow (I'll bet I'm up a pound, I ate a Costco hot dog without bun for lunch today and those things are packed with sodium). Kix ============================================================= OK, It's Monday morning.  I sucked it up and got on the scale.  I didn't gain a pound like I thought I would, but I didn't lose any weight, either.  I have noticed in the last couple of days that my hanging fat is sort of morphing into different positions, so I guess the exercise is paying off even if it means I'm not seeing the scale move.  Now that I've said that, I've decided to not exercise today.  I'm worn out and my knees hurt, so I think my body is telling me to forego exercise and go for a drive (and perhaps some shopping) instead.  Beginning weight: 530 lbs Surgery weight: 407 lbs Last week: 227 lb This week: 227 lb Kix

2 lbs gone. I can't complain. It is better than gaining. I am trying to reach onderland by my 1 year in January. I thought it would be easy but I'm finding out that I am going to have to work at it and work hard at it. 46 lbs and 5 months to go.    BEGINNING WEIGHT-362(01/13/07 Pre-op consult) SURGERY WEIGHT-357(01/19/07-the day released from hospital) LAST WEEK-247 THIS WEEK-245

Tricie, I know what you mean about having to work at it.  My personal goal is "below 200," but my body isn't cooperating!  These last 28 lbs are going to be a bear to lose.  I'm going to try the "Five Day Pouch Test" that I saw on another website to see if that will jumpstart things. Try not to get discouraged!  I'll bet 245 feels better than 362. Kix

Hey there lady! the rain just keeps coming doesn't it? Colorado Springs has been hit hard the past few weeks and they had another doozie Friday. I'm hoping monsoon season it almost over - bring on the snow! I didn't weigh last week, so this is a catch up for me. I was happy to step on the scale this morning and see I have hit my initial goal, well before my one year anniversary! I am changing my goal and want to lose 10  more - I'm determined to fit into 10's. (which I have never worn in my entire life) Surgery weight: 371 2 weeks ago weight: 185 This week's weight: 180 This was a nice boost for today, my first day back at school and my first day at my job. I was so enjoying my relaxing schedule but I guess I have to get back to the real world

Bring on the snow?  Are you insane?!?!?!    I'm calling the police!  My sister has lived in Colorado for 20 years and said this is the first year she has seen the weather act like this (pouring down rain every afternoon).  I told her it reminded me of when I lived in the Midwest.  We were coming home from Boulder yesterday afternoon and the monsoon hit as we were zooming over the Hogback.  I felt sorry for all the bicyclists getting hammered by the rain.  The Springs seems to get it worse than we did, but we still had our share. Congratulations on reaching your goal!  I'm happy for you!  My weight loss has ground to a halt, but I'm still hoping to get below 200.  I'm still in plus sizes (22), but I think part of that is due to excess skin and weird fat distribution.  The smallest I've ever been as an adult was a 13/14.  If I could fit into a size 10, I'd probably keel over dead. I'm still waiting to hear about your new job, unless it's a secret and you're working for the CIA.  Kix

Hi, Kellie: Aunt Flo is a needy sow, isn't she?!  My Aunt Flo turns me into something straight out of "The Exorcist," and then I bloat up like the Michelin Man.  I didn't used to be this way, I'm pretty sure I'm headed down the Menopause Expressway.  I was supposed to have my female exam last week, and even though Aunt Flo wasn't expected for another week, she screwed with me and showed up the day before my appointment.  I had to reschedule for September, so I hope she stays away until after my exam! You'll have tha****er weight off in a day or so.  Go beat up some gym equipment, you'll feel better.  Kix
