Welcome, Lori! Back when I was able to work, I used to get transferred all over the country.  One of my duty stations was in Olympia.  I spent two years there.  Looking back, I'd have probably been happier living in Tacoma, but I didn't want to hassle the commute every day.  Olympia is a lovely city, but kind of quiet if you're used to a more urban setting.
