(Friday) What are you doing RIGHT today?

Yesterday was not a great day for me.  But I'm starting fresh and new today, with a great attitude.  Here's what I've done right today so far: 1.  Drank my coffee w/ 1% milk (no cream!). 2.  Eating Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal for breakfast. 3.  Packed a salad w/ grilled chicken for lunch. 4.  Packed cottage cheese w/ SF preserves and sliced strawberries for a snack. 5.  Put 2 bottles of water and 1 bottle of Propel on my desk right in front of me.  If they are in my face, I will remember to drink them! That's it for now; will supplement at the end of the day with the other things I've done right today.   What did you do right today??? Kellie

I had weight control oatmeal for breakfast too!  And an apple. We also had similar lunch  - I had salad with salmon. So I guess I did that right.

Jesus is so good to me;  I couldn't ask for a better friend, protector, leader, savior!

Good for you, Tracy!  I love the maple & brown sugar weight control oatmeal; I eat it almost every day for breakfast.  Everyone at my office comments on how good it smells -  Kellie

I tried eating cereal for breakfast, but it's not very sustaining.  It seems like I'm hungry again only an hour later (and this is Special K Protein Blend).  Instead, I eat a very small portion (1/4 cup) as a snack right before bed (dry, no milk). What did I do right today? 1.  I'm on Day 2 of my Five Day Pouch Test. 2. I went to the rec center and did all my exercises even though I was tired and sore from last night's aquacise class. 3.  I took my library books back to the library even though it would have been easier to wait and just pay the darn fine.  (Stupid road construction, you'd think I live in Chicago!) 4.  I bought chicken wings to make St. Louis Hot Wings for my sister's dinner.  I don't eat wings, so I'm not tempted by them.  I will enjoy my protein shakes for dinner. 5.  I agreed to accompany my sister to a "Mothers of Multiples" sale tomorrow (they sell gently used children's clothing for rock bottom prices) even though I'd rather stab myself in the eye with a pitchfork than shop at any kind of sale. 6.  I did not sneak a dog snack to the neighbor dog even though she really wanted one.  Her dad said the vet thinks she's too fat, so I don't want to contribute to her weight issues.  Instead, I hugged and petted her, scratched her belly, and got a big slurpy kiss in return. 7.  While I was out doing my errands, I did not stop at the new Walmart and spend money I do not have. 8.  I bought $10 worth of Powerball tickets because I really, really need $300 million.
