I GOT APPROVED!!!!!
Thank you ALL for you kind wishes and support. It means so much at a time like this. I am so hyped up.
Kix, I wi**** would end up like you described, but this is a "having insurance on the day of surgery vs. not having insurance that day" thing. It's not about what type of coverage exists. Wi**** were............They don't have to grandfather me in either. They're the state, they get to make their own darn rules. But when I woke up with chest pains in the middle of last night from all the anxiety it occurred to me that I should ask at the hearing if it is possible that they would cut me off before the surgery date. I plan on using words that are pretty graphic about what the surgery entails, what it will accomplish for my health, and the amount of anxiety normally associated with such an undertaking, and then ask them to consider what this additional stress of not knowing if I am going in in two weeks is doing to me.
Sally, I had a good interview but I am withdrawing from consideration. Part of the job would entail me being under some high-stress multi-tasking situations that I do not do well in. Right now it looks like I may have to wait until I am healed and go back into my own field. Thanks for remembering.
