Gym Is Open (Tuesday)
Hope you all had a nice holiday weekend! I did. Maybe too much fun??? No, I just couldn't get up for the gym this moring. I have a massage scheduled tonight right after work, so I guess my exercise for today is the 1.5 mile walk to and from Weigh****chers at lunch.
What did you do to move your body today?

I'm finally starting to perk up and can walk more than 5-10 minutes without being completely exhausted. That second surgery took so much out of me! I started my walking program over again this morning. I did 15 minutes and plan to do the same this evening. Every few days/week I want to add an additional 5 minutes and try for morning and night. Hopefully in a few weeks I can have a little more variety also. I am barely sore at this point, I am just completely drained all the time. Ugh.
Good Morning Lori and WB...
15 mins elliptical
30 mins upper body weight training

it felt good to get back into my routine, but as always the best part was when it was DONE!

Hi, Lori. Holiday weekend was great - we had perfect weather here on the North Coast. What a blessing!
I hit the gym at lunch today and lifted weights for upper and lower body. I'll go back after work for 40-50 minutes of cardio. May do intervals tonight, and I can only do those for about 40 minutes before I run out of energy and my legs beg for mercy...
Good luck to everyone finding the time and motivation to move today!!!

Yes, we had a nice weekend. I didn't go to the rec center at all the entire three days.
I did go today, and did 1 hr on the in-line skating machine and about 30 minutes of weight machines. I've been chatting with a older fellow who comes twice a week to walk quite slowly on the treadmill (he has advanced emphysema), and when he left today, he bopped me on the shoulder and thanked me for keeping him motivated. Thanking me?!
Heck, watching him struggle to do even a little bit of exercise keeps me motivated.
I also chatted with two older dudes who were using the rowing machines, and they praised me and my in-line skating exercise. I'm pretty sure I weighed more when I left the gym because I developed a pretty fat head hearing all those compliments today!
As for HWD (Hot Wheelchair Dude), he won't even look in my direction any more. It makes me sad, wondering if I said or did something to offend him. I never try to hurt people's feelings on purpose (even if his politics suck).
