OK, everyone, it's Hump Day!  Woohoo!  Let's get up and get those bodies moving! I'm on my way out the door in about five minutes to hit two aqua arthritis classes.  I like the teacher who teaches on Monday and Wednesdays, so it will be a good class.  I may or may not get to my internal work today, I have a conference call at noon to discuss the Project from Hell (and I'm terrified it means more work, and I want to be DONE WITH IT!!!!) I also need to file my job application online for a part-time Adult Immunization Coordinator with the State Immunization Program.  This is in my field, I love Immunization, and I hope I get the job.  They need to hire me at their upper tier, though, or I can't take the job because it would pay less than what I receive on disability. We had fun at last night's aquacise class, there are a bunch of older guys in there who are real cards.  My sibling even got in the spirit and cracked a few jokes, all of which were funny!  Very unlike her, she's usually quite serious. What did you do to move your body today? Kix

I actually went out to the pool this morning.  I thought I should take advantage while its still hot, and i couldn't sleep (some issues at work are really stressing me).  So I was out at 5:30 in the morning alternating soaks in the hot tub with laps in the pool.  It was a little chilly but kind of refreshing and I was happy to see that my bathing suit was a little saggy.  I was out there for 45 minutes, and I think I swam hard for about 30 of them.  I also learned I can hold my breath longer than before. Hello ladies,

I cant wait till Nov 1st, because the pool opens back up here, they close it in Oct for maintance, so I woke up this am and felt like walking it was real dark out side and hubby was still asleep so I took my two min-pins with me, they would never let anything happen to me, well when I got home I felt as if I would die, but I made it around the block, yea!  God Bless Kristy

Way to go with the walking!  You must have been up pretty early for it to still be dark while you were walking! I like min pins, but I hear they are kind of energetic, which would never work in our household.  We lean more toward the lazy kind of dogs. If you plan to add more walking to your routine, you might want to get a pedometer.  They aren't too expensive (less than $15), and it's fun to keep track of how many steps you walk in a day, particularly as you increase your walking. Still hot?  Isn't Texas perpetually hot?  I always thought a cool day in Texas was when you only had to use one air conditioner. I wish Texas weather wasn't so horrible, I love places like Austin and San Antonio. Have you noticed yet that your bathing suit droops in the boobal area?  I can't even fill a bathing suit bra any more.  I'm certainly not complaining, it just makes it awkward when my flapjacks fall out under the bathing suit bra.  They hang so low that perhaps I ought to invest in a jockstrap for them, instead. Good work with the swimming.  I also find that jogging in the water helps pump up the cardio and doesn't strain my knees.  You need pool shoes for that, though, or you will shred your foot skin.  Pool shoes are only $10 at Target or Big5 Sporting Goods. Where I grew up in West Texas, we definitely had winter.  Its perpetually windy, so winter was pretty painful sometimes.  Rarely snow, just a lot of ice and heavy freezing winds.  In San Antonio, winter is pathetic.  People use 40 degree nights (all 3 of them) to light fires and bring out the sweaters.  Now that we've lived here a while though, those 40 nights seem to really warrent fires and sweaters!  When we go back home for Christmas we freeze.  Now that I am cold all the time, its not so bad here.  I used to sweat constantly and its so thick the sweat never really dries.

When I lived in Honolulu, the temperature would occasionally drop to 70 degrees in the winter.  People would actually go to McInerny's (posh department store) and take their furs out of storage to wear because they were cold).  Being from Oakland, I used to dance when the weather hit 70 in Honolulu, because that's what I was used to. I'd probably acclimate better now that I'm thinner, I actually do get cold sometimes here in CO, even when I'm wearing a coat.  Go figure! Kix

And oh yeah, the suit mostly droops in the boobs, but it was getting really really tight everywhere last time I wore it (think sausage casing) and now its somewhat loose everywhere.  Boobs are getting smaller.  I am ok with that, but I wi**** was hips and belly getting smaller instead.  Husband is accepting boobs as a trade off for being able to wrap arms all the way around me... so far he's accepting it anyway.

Good morning, Kix.  Hope your aqua arthritis classes were good today, and that the conference call for the PROJECT FROM HELL goes well.  Am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as it relates to the job application.  If you want me to call and tell them why they should hire you, let me know.  I'll give a great reference!!! As far as exercise, I'm planning for two gym visits today.  Leaving in a couple minutes to lift weights at lunch for upper and lower body.  Then back to the gym after work for 45-55 minutes of cardio.  The darn scale has gone up 9 pounds in 5 days, so I'm a bit grumpy.  But working hard to keep doing the right stuff, knowing that it all pays off in the long run.   Good luck to everyone finding the time and motivation to move it today!!! Kellie: Thanks for offering to be a reference!  I appreciate it, and just might take you up on it. I ended up doing only one aqua class today -- the water was a bit hotter than usual, and I felt like I was a steeping tea bag.  The class was a good one, though, and I would have enjoyed staying for the second one.  Not too crowded in the pool today, so shoehorns weren't necessary.  I did do 15 minutes of interval work on the treadmill and 20 crunches on the ab machine @ 50 lbs.  There was a hot dude there, but he didn't appear interested, and I didn't have time to flirt today.  Project from Hell is not done, darn it.  Looks like I'll be burning the midnight oil for a bit, but I still plan to take time for exercise.  The deadline for the darn thing is Friday, so my pain is short-lived. Kix
