What is Your Dream Job?
Julie, when I was in high school, I dreamed of being an accompanist for Broadway rehearsals. I did audition for a NY gig when I was in college, but I had to learn the hard way that I wasn't talented enough to do that for a living. It's hard accompanying singers, and I wasn't adroit enough at transposing music into different keys in a hurry.
You could be one of those elegant Las Vegas chorus dancers, they are all tall.
Wouldn't it be nice if social services were funded as easily as the war? Sigh. Best not to get started on that, or I'll be ranting all day long.

Believe it or not, I am blessed to have my dream job. I am the Vice President of a Health Care System. I would like to end my career as a Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of the Health Care System. If it happens that is great if not, I am happy to have been so blessed.
Then when I retire, I want to be a receptionist in a nail salon!!
My true dream job would be no job at all. I would LOVE to just not have to work! There is no job I can think of that I would like to do more than I would like to not work. But, if I HAD to work (lol) I'd say being a person who picks out music for movies and or TV shows. Or a DJ. That's of course if I couldn't be a famous actress or rock star!
You know, Lori used to work as a volunteer DJ for Utah Public Radio. I do believe she chose the music for her shows. Does Minnesota Public Radio offer similar opportunities? I think it sounds like great fun, and I might consider it down the road myself.
Given a choice of being a famous actress or a rock star, I'd choose rock star. People are too hard on actresses' appearance, while rock stars can look kind of "let go" and still be famous.

Karma....What would life be without it? 250lbs gone! 410/160... Life's sweet!
If I had the money, or could raise the money I would go to haiti and build some more orpanages in cite solie haiti, the kids there live in tin shacks and eat dirt cakes, (see u-tube for this) and I would help d-worm the children and get them off the street, Haiti is Not a third world country, it is a fifth world country and the poorest on the western hemespher and 80% of population is unemployed and kids are either homeless, slaves or in over crouded orphanage, or Dead in the road.
This would be my dream job, With out a doubt. Thanks Kix Great topic. Kristy
Great question! I had to think about this for a while to come up with anything. I've always been someone who enjoys lots of different things so it's hard to narrow it down.
Part of me is with Jacie, I would love to not work! This summer made me realize how much I enjoy being free from a schedule. I could hike when i want, volunteer at different places, travel and spend time with family and friends, and be a student forever! ( I LOVE school - it's always interesting to me). It was just kind of nice to have that freedom.
However, I have always wanted to become a Marine Biologist, working with Orca whales in the northwest. Being outside all the time really appeals to me and I am fascinated with Orca's
- I've spent many a vacation up there doing volunteer work with a non-profit organization created to study and protect them. It's absolutely fascinating.
Although at this time my dream job is what I am doing... part-time receptionist! It is the perfect job for me right now - I love not having a 'career' job at this time. I can leave my job at work, not take it home with me.
