Ahhh Vegas. I wish I'd enjoyed it more, hopefully you'll have a lot more fun than we did Kix.
I walked for 20 minutes (rather slower than usual) this morning and then went to the chiropractor. He manipulated me more than I expected and I think I'll be sore, but he gives a wicked good foot massage. He said my right side was longer than my left (pelvis was lower) and popped some things and hooked me up to some other things for a while. My hip, knee, and foot were all out of whack which was making me have a different akward stride which was making them hurt even more and give me weird blisters from shoes I've worn for almost a year every day without any problems. Ouchies. I may end up doing the custom orthotic number for my heel, but I am postponing it to see if the regular plantar fasciatis stuff works first. It has in the past.
I do feel better after his quacky chiropractic ministrations. My 3 day headache is also gone, but I'd love a nap.
My mom swears by her twice-a-week chiropractor but I always figured it had something to do with him being gorgeous and a lot younger (he went through junior high and high school with me). I guess there is more to it (although Dr. Josh's healing hands don't always seem to be the part of him my mom is interested in... bleck
) The worst part is that her back problems are mostly in her butt (sciatica) and so he spends a lot of time with his hands on her posterior. She makes sure to give me the details. (I dated Dr. Josh briefly in HS and had a bad crush on him for years. My mom is so mean!)
My chiropractor was not cute, but he had a nice voice. I'll just close my eyes next time and pretend its George Clooney.

Dunny, I can't bear the thought of anyone touching my feet!
Back in the Stone Age, when one actually had to go to a shoe store to buy shoes, I used to dread shoe shopping because I knew the salesman was going to touch my feet when he measured me for shoes.
I have mixed feeling about chiropractors. People I know who use them swear by them, but I figure once you start doing that, it's probably something you have to keep doing for the rest of your life. However, if it was George Clooney, I might reconsider. Or Kiefer Sutherland, if he would recite hot poetry while he adjusted my bones.
I haven't been to Vegas since you were a tot, so I'm sure it has totally changed. We will spend most of our time in rural Arizona where our sibling lives, but we fly in and out from Vegas and will spend one night there.

Ugh, I gave up on the Rockies last night and went to sleep. It was like watching the Sox take batting practice. *sigh*
I'm back from the mountains and, well, exhausted. There were many late nights, meetings and fun hiking time, but I was so ready to come home. Too much people time, not enough me time. It's funny, I use to be an extrovert and would thrive on these types of retreats. Now, I prefer a nice, quiet day to myself, doing who knows what. I think I've been living alone for too long.
Now that I am back I got back to my running schedule today - however, my increase in fiber struck again and I had to shorten my time. Did 35 minutes of mostly jogging. Can I just say that while I love that I haven't had to take Milk of Magnesia for a while, the whole randomness of when it hits is starting to bug me?
Welcome back! I'll bet the weather was spectacular! Isn't today beautiful outside?! I wanted to get in the car and drive to Taos, but I couldn't get back in time to make my 7 AM flight tomorrow.
How was the hiking, did you leave any dead bodies behind, or are your co-workers equally fit? Taking co-workers on an outdoor retreat is a good way to cull the herd!
Hm, with all the weight you are losing, maybe I should up my fiber. I already "go" enough as it is, though, I don't think I want to burn more calories running back and forth from the restroom. If you are taking fiber supplements, take them at night. If you're eating roughage like tree bark and aspen leaves, well, I can't help you there!

We got married in Taos. It was nice up in the mountains at the officiant's house. There wasn't a heck of a lot to do there for the week though. We ate a lot and did the requisite honeymoon activities.
