2 years ago today!!!
2 years ago today I weighed 361 pounds.
2 years ago today I could not play with my kids or sit in a normal size chair.
2 years ago today I was alive but not living.
TODAY I weigh 175 pounds.
Today I am playing with my kids and sitting in my husband's lap.
Today I am living!!
This surgery has given me the tool to become the person I knew I was but others just could not see
and to do things that I wanted to but had to lie and say I didn't like so others wouldn't see me fail.
This is a tool that I will always use and hope to always respect.
I had to write to this board today because before my surgery and even after this was the only board that truly "got me" You are people who understand my pain like no others. I want to thank all of you that were here before me that helped and even those who have come since and are helping others. This is a personal choice but a group effort.
Every one keep up the great work I still find my most inspiration from the group of you wonderful people.
Congrats on have far you have come..I love your post..my 2 year anniversary is coming up soon and I am still amazed at all the things I can do now... and saddened that I wasted so many years..like you said just "being alive" but not living. This board has been a blessing to me also.
Enjoy your day today you deserve it.
Lynn
I was inspired by your post. I am starting out at approximately your highest weight and my goal is close to yours. I liked ready the weekly results you posted. How did your PS in August go? Are you happy with the results? I hope to get to know you better.

Thank you for posting this, it gives those of us preop and just a little bit postop hope for the future. It is so sad to be alive, but not living, and I resemble that remark.
Love that people understand the shoes we walk in here.
