NEW YEAR'S EVE WEIGH IN!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who ate her weight in carbs over the holiday. I swore I wasn't going to eat bread, then I went and had a piece, and now an old demon is back in my life. Stupid Kix!
Things ought to start getting back to normal. The holiday company has left, my sibling is going back to work, and I can get back to my routine. Between the holiday company, my sister, and the back to back snowstorms we had here in CO, I haven't been to the rec center in two weeks. Ugh.
No wonder I feel like a parade float (or, since I'm wearing my brown jammies, a UPS truck). My ring feels snug and my body feels all flabby and gross.
I plan to get back on a more appropriate eating plan (remember those?) and more importantly, get back exercising, since I do not burn a single calorie without it. I may even start off by doing the five day pouch test just to detox.
With all the snow we have had lately, and after seeing a recent news report, I am considering taking up snowshoeing. Not mountain snowshoeing like PJ, just snowshoeing at the park. I had no idea snowshoes were so expensive! I might need to wait until next year and buy some at the SNIAGRAB sale.
Beginning weight: 530 lb
Surgery weight: 407 lb
Last weigh in: 218 lb
This week: 223 lb
I'm not ashamed about my gain, just annoyed. Whoever said surgery is the easy way out needs to be dipped in au jus and fed to wild animals.

Happy New Year to Marge and Everyone!!! You said we had alot in common....My granddaughter turned nine on New Years Eve...I will NEVER forget pacing the hospital waiting anxiously for her grand entrance. Where do the years go?? She is so precious!! I ate some crap I wasn't supposed to.....almost hoped it would dump on me, but alas....no problems with anything! I don't know if I should be upset or greatful! LOL I did a couple of potato chips with dip...I make a Buffalo chicken hot dip that you eat with Fritos "Scoops"...had to try that too!
New Years tradition for us is an assembly line of family members all making ham & cheese calzones that are deep fryed. I used to eat (hard to believe now) 5 or 6 of them for a meal. I did indulge yesterday but lo & behold I could only get down a 1/2 of one. I was glad of that. Now the urge is gone. Scale was kind to me. I'm glad holidays are over and food is not the focus of a good time any longer! I have a treadmill now and will start using it right away. Then I am going to join Curves. Gotta shake some lard here. HUGS to all.....Jeanine
