Anyone 5'9 and over 400?

Hi, Becky - I'm "up there" with you at 5'10" . . . My highest weight was 542, and NO ONE who knows that number could believe it (maybe they were just humoring me). I've been told I carry it pretty well. But at that high a weight, what is "well" anyway . . . . maybe looking like I weigh "ONLY" 350 or something like that? LOL. Anyway, I had lapband back in July 2007 and it has been SLOOOOW going on the weight-loss campaign. I'm beginning to think I should have gone for the RNY. But that ship (and self-pay $$$) has sailed, so I'm trying to make the best of it and find some success. Best of luck to you for a quick and uncomplicated surgery and recovery! Frances

I was 5ft 10" and 470 at time of surgery 9/26/06 I just was measured at my MD and have went down to 5ft 7 1/2". I am down to 302 with my clothes on. No one ever thought I weighed as much as i did and even now they do not think I weigh 300 lb. Good Luck

I 'm 5'9 and had RNY  LAP on 8-8-07. I was 408. and I am now 301! My goal is 160, the dr.'s goal for me is 180. Let us know how it goes for you.

I am! I currently weigh 480 pounds and I am 5-10. I have my RNY scheduled for 1/29.

I'm 5 foot 10 1/2 inches tall.  Yup I insist on my half inch..lol I was 650lbs.  I am now 527lbs and my surgery will be Feb 27th.
