Hey, Diana, it's nice to see you are keeping up your exercise, although I imagine now that Cody is getting bigger, he's also giving you plenty of exercise! Kix

I had a vigorous exercise day. I did 45 minutes of killer treadmill (had to use a higher speed today because I was running late and needed to squeeze my workout into less time).  This was one of those days where my IPod really got me though, I wanted to quit 13 minutes into my workout but the tunes kept me moving. My personal trainer appointment was good.  My trainer had a good sense of humor, even if he was a bit daft conversationally.  We worked out for an hour, using the ball for squats and lunges (boy, those were hard and scary) and various other machines.  What I like about the Bally machines as opposed to my rec center is that they have more setting options, which is nice for someone with bassett hound legs and T-rex arms. At the end of the session, he had me lie on a table and helped me stretch out, which felt really good after all that work.  He said I was very flexible (imagine that!) and during the workout, he said I was stronger than he expected.  I kept telling him to add more weights because he'd start off with 10lbs, which is nothing. What I don't like about Ballys is when they offer you a free service, you always get the sales pitch at the end of the session.  I'd like to be able to afford more sessions with the personal trainers, but at $169 for four sessions, it's out of the question unless I win the Powerball. A funny note:  in my fitness chat prior to the workout, he asked what my fitness goals are.  I told him I wanted to firm up.  He looked alarmed.  I then told him I'd had WLS and lost over 300 lbs, and as soon as I lose 40 more, I can have the excess skin removed.  He looked relieved, I guess he thought I was expecting exercise to put all my stuff back where it belongs!  Kix

That's funny - when I had the training session and he asked me what my fitness goals were I said "well, weight loss isn't a problem right now, my main goal is just to show up" and even though I had already told him like 10 minutes earlier that I'd had WLS, he'd forgotten.  He looked at me like I was insane.  I had to gently remind him that I had surgery, and it would take a serious effort not to lose weight at present.  I did like him, and once he remembered I'd had surgery he seemed to have a brain.  He knew that if I didn't maintain muscle mass I'd lose a lot of muscle too, and he was really interested in calorie intake and protein intake and stuff.  We also got a sales pitch but it was fairly low key and I was genuinely interested in purchasing sessions - plus we got a BIG discount and he was willing to work both of us at the same time for the price of one.  Nice guy, I've seen him every time I've gone and he remembers me, but he doesn't push the sales.  If I have a question about a machine I search him out.

Hi Kix, I was lazy most of MOnday, but did go and teach 1 hour of water aerobics.  My daughter went - she said she was exhausted afterward.
