Kix, girl, you continue to crack me up.  I've bought expensive salts for a friend, but she's a gourmet cook and was truly delighted.  Your poor sister - oy, gevalt, indeed.   I love the green bean pen story too - what idiot doesn't know that such novelty items are totally useless for people that actually enjoy the act of writing.  It's all about shape, and feel, and heft, and the proper barrel width....  Oh, wait, I digress.  Really, I'm not sitting here stroking my favorite pen.  Honest...

Ahem, on to other things, like daily exercise.  Today is another 2-a-day.  Upper body strength training at lunch, probably with some core work too.  Then cardio at the end of the day -- I'm planning to do 45-50 minutes on the elliptical trainer.  Have been rowing a lot and just want to do something different.

Have a bit of spinach lasagne for me - sounds yummy.  I make stuffed shells with spinach sometimes - love the combination of spinach and pasta and tomato sauce - yum!

Oh, I had a portion for you as well as a portion for me, plus too much garlic bread. (Burp!)  It was pretty tasty, although the package of ready-to-go spinach that I bought (feeling lazy and pressed for time) had itty bitty leaves on it, so I just about lost my mind clipping 1,052 stems off itty bitty spinach leaves to layer in the lasagna. My sister loved it, although she complained about the crisp edge on one piece.  (Heffer). We have plenty for tomorrow night, too, so I won't have to worry about what to cook for dinner. I still haven't figured out whether I want to do all body workout every other day, or different muscles on different days.  I want to do my treadmill fat burning every day, so I guess I should just play it by ear in terms of what I feel up to doing. $70 in salt?    If my salt costs $70 bucks no one would get salt lol  My exercise was  short and sweet I walked for about 15 mins and had a snow ball fight with the kids after school. then back to work and I didnt get home untill  8:30 and then i had to catch the last 90 mins of american idol lol  Estelle

Well, I don't even like salt, so to spend $70 on it just seems insane to me.  Reminds me of something Robin Williams said a long time ago: "Cocaine is God's way of telling you you make too much money."  If you need to buy $70 salt, you make too much money. $70 = 46 EAS protein drinks, or two cases of protein pudding, or 14 boxes of Atkins bars, or 24 packages of 3 buffalo patties from Vitamin Cottage. Do you pack the snowballs really hard so they hurt when they hit?  Kix

I went to a different Bally's today (near downtown) and did 40 minutes of treadmill at a faster speed.  I must have gotten my heart rate up pretty high during the jammin' Tito Puento music I listened to on the IPod, because the treadmill suddenly lurched down from the incline and slowed a bit.  I didn't feel all that tired, either. Also went to aquacise.  I'm beginning to hate that class.  The teacher spends so much time chatting with some of the class, and then others in the class carry on conversations, that I don't feel like I'm getting a decent workout.
