Ok, i'm having LOTS and LOTS of nights that I just toss and turn anymore! WHY??? Because my HIP BONES are NOT used to the pressure of being laid on all night long. Who knew I had HIP BONES??? Both of my hips ache this morning, and all night long, I just flipped from one hip bone to the other. Laying on my back just isn't comfy for sleep, and if I lay on my tummy, after while my iliac crest (high hip) bones start to hurt. Also, it HURTS to sit on a non padded chair. I guess I didn't realize that I'd have to get used to new pressure points and such. At least for today, it is a pain in the butt!

Jeannie, Me too I never never thought I'd complain of a bony butt or hip !!! It hurts so bad, I also have a hard time sleeping and I have fibro which doesn't help. Its funny how I never thought of that! I would gladly take some belly fat and move  it to my butt or over my hip. I have tried to turn fast and see if it will go but no.LOL

Well I'll be damned!  ME TOO!  I can't rest one ankle on the other in bed either...it hurts after awhile. And sex  Good Grief!! ...OMG...there's many places DH CAN'T rest his arms anymore!  LMAO    Now whenever I see an extremely thin person...I keep thinking for them it must be horrible!  LOL  What I haven't been able to figure out is why my hips still hurt after I've been walking for about 10 min. I thought the weight loss would make that stop. Its actually hindering me from a long walk on the treadmill! Darn it!  Same here with a non-padded chair.  I still feel like I have plenty of "natural padding" back there, yet my sciatic nerve prevents me from sitting long on a hard surface. WHo would have guessed these issues would have surfaced??  LOL  Small price to pay for losing weight I guess!  HUGS  Jeanine

I now have a donut pillow at work and another at home (also for long car rides) because my tailbone kills me.  I can feel the stupid thing when I sit down.  I still have tons of fat, what's the deal?  I hope it doesn't get worse!

Hi, ladies!  This does get better over time!  I remember discovering that there's bones in my butt and that I have a tailbone - what a shocking and somehwat unpleasant discovery as it relates to sitting and sleeping comfortably.  But at 2+ years post-op, this stuff doesn't bother me anymore for the most part.  Although I do try to avoid spending any length of time on an unpadded chair...
