Gym is Open (Friday 2/22)
Sorry to hear about your friend's dad, and I'm impressed that you still hang out with folks you knew from high school. I was pretty popular in high school, but I didn't keep in touch with anyone and probably wouldn't recognize a soul if I ever went to a reunion.
Wasn't the weather glorious today? It was even nice up in Black Hawk, although a bit colder than metro Denver. The wind picked up early afternoon, which gave the air a bit of a chill.
I want to kill the full moon, it was peeping through my blinds all night long. No matter which way I turned the blinds, it managed to peep through. It was like trying to sleep with the lights on.
When I watch folks run on treadmills at the gym, none of them use a steep incline, and they don't run for very long. Some of them even change up the running to do intervals. I wonder if it has anything to do with not wanting to lose muscle? Meanwhile, I'm just there plodding along, doing my fat burning program.

Hi ya Kixy,
well everyone needs a fun day and if my brother would gimme the keys to his caddy to go to the casino I would for sure take him up on it lol (not holding my breath
)
Today my lovely Brother took me to the Y and we played racket ball well he played and I fell oall over the court in somewhat un steady wrenching motions, and then listened to him to tell me how slow and really bad at racket ball I was. ( who cares I was sweatin lol) so I took the physical and mental abuse for about an hour this afternoon. After work I did my 35 mins on the elliptical machine .
yesterday I did the tredmill and still can't figure out which one is a better workout so the know it all brother
told me to do them each every other day, So thats what i'm going to do I think.
:) have a great weekend

Estelle, I haven't played racketball since 1976, when I played with my college roommate and managed to crack her in the forehead with the racket. I whacked her hard enough that we had to go to the Student Health Center to get her stitched up. I wonder if that had anything to do with the fact that we quit being roommates after fall semester ended?
It's a good idea to change up on your exercise because your body gets used to it if you do the same thing every day.

Well, I had a great time at the casinos. The weather was glorious and the skiers hadn't had time to hit the road yet, so the drive up and back wasn't back at all.
I parked the car in one of the casino car parks and basically walked up and down the long main drag where all the casinos are located, stopping in at each one and gambling a little bit. I took my jar of coins that I'd been saving ($50) and managed to play all day on it, winning here and there, and losing here and there. I came home with $20, which I used to treat my sister to dinner.
It's always a good day when I can play all day long on the small amount of money I allocate for my little gambling excursions.
I enjoyed the walking and was surprised it took so little effort. I didn't even get winded, and I walked at a pretty decent pace. If my knees were in better shape, I'd be a walking fool. I noticed I have a hard time with walking down hills. I wore my trusty pedometer and I walked 8100 steps today.
I had so much fun that I want to go again tomorrow, but my coin jar is empty. Besides, I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow (and I'm overdue for a haircut, so it's all floppy and in my face, ugh!) So, I'll have to wait until I've saved up more coins. Maybe I'll go again next month. I do love gambling, I inherited this evil trait from my mother (who always came home with a bag of money, I don't know how she did it).
