I had my 5 week post op this afternoon, wow 5 weeks it has been one heck of a ride and it is just beginning!   Since starting the Medifast January 5th I have lot 62 pounds.   32 on Medifast and 30 since the surgery.   I am sooo proud of myself that I could do this.   Since loing this weight I have found. 1.)   Its great to see the reaction of people when they have not seen you in awhile or for a week or so for that matter. 2.)   I am trying many many new recipes and I enjoy cooking healthy 3.)   Buying new clothes is great!!! 4.)   I don't have to put the seat back after my daughter drives the car  5.)   I am only taking 1 shot of insulin a day - down from 4! 6.)  I have met so many wonderful new friends on this site and at the doctors office.   2008 is certainly great, I told everyone the beginning of the year it all about ME and I love it! Thanks for reading....  Michelle

Thank you to everyone *****plied! It means alot, when I started I could never have imagined this. I am into the 260's and well on my way to the 250's, which I have not seen before I was married!!!
I have been using some recipes from a book my sister gave me after surgery and eating lots of protein. Lisa gave me a great recipe for chicken, cauliflower cheesey chowder and some others. And I use low fat cream of mushroom soup on my chicken, it keeps it moist and adds flavor and really you are not consuming that much of the soup, I only put a couple tablespoons on it. I made a no noodle zucchini lasagna that was delicious, problem is I have run out of room in my tiny freezer and have to now use up what I have frozen.

Are you going to the meeting in Saratoga April 7th?
