Good morning, Jen.  I managed to stay on track yesterday and am aiming for the same today.  I was reviewing the information in my electronic food journal for March, and my average daily calories last month was 2809!!!!  No wonder my weight popped back up to 190 - I know better than that!   Anyway, I'm focusing on bringing my daily average back down to around 2200, which will hopefully get my weight back down in the low 180's.  Wish me luck!!!  Here's what's on my plate today - 

Breakfast:  1 cup 1% milk in my coffee, 1 packet Quaker Weight Control oatmeal

Snack #1:  1 cup low-fat cottage cheese, 4 tbsp. sugar-free preserves, 3 large strawberries

Snack #2:  1 small banana, 6 oz. light yogurt
[workout #1:  yoga]

Lunch:  Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers - chicken and broccoli w/ red pepper sauce over pasta

Snack #3:  venti non-fat latte w/ sugar-free vanilla syrup

Snack #4:  1 slice whole-grain bread, 3 slices low-fat turkey, 1 slice low-fat cheese, alfalfa sprouts

[workout #2:  60 minutes of cardio]

Dinner:  beef stroganoff w/ 1/2 c. egg noodles, romaine salad, 2 tbsp. light salad dressing, 2 tbsp. rice noodles (for crunch)

Snack #5:  2 sugar-free fudgesicles

Total calories:  1899
Carbs:  262.5
Fat:  44.1
Fiber:  24.7
Protein:  130.9
Today's weight:  190.3

Well, my mindful eating only results in a one lb loss, so I am annoyed.  I need to just back off the extraneous carbs (like that potato I had with dinner last night) and focus on protein. So far, I have had two EAS protein drinks for breakfast @220 calories, 34g protein. More later! Kix Here's what I ate the rest of the day: L: two EAS protein drinks @220 calories, 34g protein.  S: 1 venti decaf.  E: 240 calories' worth of cardio plus 30 minutes of arctic aquacise  S: two EAS protein drinks @220 calories, 34g protein. D: 1 hunk meatloaf and 1 serving peas @600 calories, 30g protein.  Totals: 1260 - 240 = 1020 calories, 132g protein. Kix

Here is today's plan - B - 8oz mootopia, 8oz coffee, benefiber, ice, sf syrup S - 8oz mootopia, 8oz coffee, benefiber, ice, sf syrup L - 3oz rotisserie chicken breast, 1/2c pinto beans mixed with 1/2c canned corn and 1/4c rotel S - pre-workout 16oz mootopia, 1 packet CIB, benefiber D - post-workout apple and cheese quesadilla - 1 mission plus multigrain tortilla, 1/4c mozz, 1/8c sharp cheddar, 1/2 apple S - V-8 Calories - 1258 Fat - 30g Carbs - 138g Fiber - 35g Protein - 117g I plan to do the same workout as last night - 300 calories on the treadmill.

Well it was uneventful and crazy again today but I do think I did a little better than yesterday! its almost 6 pm and i'm still at work, I'm not however feeling as sorry for myself as yesterday lol  Thanks for always letting me vent.  B= Coffee with skim mlik and a light n Fit yogurt  s= Crackers L=chicken & black bean chili  D= wendys Chili and 1/4 Baked potato plain.   DH stopped on his way home form work and got me dinner so Iwouldnt have to eat to late. (nice guy huh? ) Still not perfect but better, no?  SS

Better yes - how much milk to you put in your coffee.  Still a little concerned about your average protein intake (but today is better).  Once you are no so busy it might really be beneficial to track your intake for a week or so on dailyplate or something just to see where you are on protein.  Some days it seems like you are right on target, and others it seems like you are kind of low.  Hmmm black beans sound oddly delicious at the moment.

Not much Milk but it seems like more milk than I would use of it were 1/2 and 1/2. I would say about 1/8 a cup in a large togo coffee. But if I get a dunkin donuts I'm not sure how much they put it them.  As far as my protein I know i'm bad at it. I still have like 15 bags of kays chips that I forget I have.  Black Beans always sound delicious lol

I'm really in "maintaining mode" right now - if I can get through this funk without any more gains, I'll be happy. And in that regards, I've done well today. I also exercised, something I haven't done all week (if you don't count moving). breakfast: peanut butter pudding snack: medium banana, atkins protein bar snack: atkins protein bar, 9 tootsie rolls lunch: asian sesame chicken salad (from Panera, yum!) snack: fat free yogurt, 1/4 c. raisins, 1/2 mini bagel and 1 T. cream cheese dinner: Mom's ghoulash (we didn't have it last night, so it's on the menu tonight!) snack: 3 granola bites calories: 2578 fat: 94 carbs: 356  fiber: 36 protein: 107 water: about 104 ounces
