Calorie Countdown - What did you eat on Tuesday?

Well, I hope everyone is well today.  I have a doozy of a sinus headache and am sore from 40 minutes on the treadmill last night.  I actually had a pretty scary night after I got back from the gym.  I had a protein bar as planned, but a while later I started getting the "foamies" where lots of mucous climbs back up your throat.  Then I got a stomach ache like I had to go to the bathroom - I went in to the bathroom and decided to wretch instead.  Then I got sweaty and weird like I did up at work recently.  I stood up, thought "I really need to lay down" and then proceeded to black out.  I woke up on the bathroom floor with Ryan outside the door asking me if I was ok.  I guess I made a racket, as I took half the contents of the bathroom counter with me to the ground.  I am fortunately ok, I think I must have hit my head forward and then fell backward because my forhead feels like it got more of a bump than the back of my head.   I had to lay there for a few minutes to take stock of everything and make sure nothing was broken (my big toe was very mad but the rest of me seems to be intact).  Ryan said I was blue and when I finally stood up I agree I was definitely blue, so we went to bed and he put a blanket on me for a while, then I got a heating pad.  And oh yeah, I checked my blood sugar, it was 177?  So, I don't know what the deal was.  It was a vasovagal reaction, I had a few in the hospital after my heart cath for some unclear reason too.  Scary.  Anyway, no idea what I am going to eat yet.  I want some coffee.  We were planning on going to a minor league baseball game at noon but husband is still asleep and its 11.  He had a long weekend working and I was very impressed that he didn't back out on the gym last night.  He said he didn't want to go, I said ok I'll just go, and then he said no wait, I'll go but take it pretty easy.  And he did, wtg Ryan. Have a good day everybody!

Your experience last night sounds very scary!  I sometimes get "woozy" if I stand up too quickly - think it's because my blood pressure is actually low now - but nothing like what happened to you!  If you have any more of these episodes, your OH peeps are going to insist that you go to the doctor to figure out what's going on!!!

Your plan to take it easy on the pouch is a good idea - hopefully it'll be more agreeable today.  No pouch problems here, so here's what's on my plate today:

Breakfast:  1 cup 1% milk in my coffee, 1 packet Quaker Weight Control oatmeal

Glad to hear you are ok!  That must have been scary for you. I went to a lunch meeting and fun stuff, they had subway sandwiches there.  I went for what I thought was the turkey, but when I got back to pull the insides out, it was just a veggie with a scrawny piece of cheese.  Oh well, the bread has protein in it and it was a 3" so I was able to eat it. Breakfast   - SB high protein cereal bar    10 g Exercise - 45 minutes random hill program on elliptical  3 miles completed! Snack - small bananna  1 g protein Lunch - 3" subway veggie sandwich   4 g protein        Snack - taco bell fresco taco  9 g protein Dinner - something from Moes SW Grill probably chicken and salad

My goodness!  Next time you feel wonky in the bathroom, don't stand up, just lie directly on the floor until the wonky sensation passes.  I had to do that when I had food poisoning.  It was easier to lie on the floor than to get up and have the room swirl around me, and less chance of cracking one's skull open on deadly bathroom fixtures. Are you feeling better now? Here's what I ate today:  B: homemade buffalo cheeseburger on whole grain bun.  I felt worn out after my hectic day yesterday, so I left the house later than usual.  I started my day at the grocery store to pick up a few things before going to the gym, and noticed about halfway through my shopping trip that I felt oddly lightheaded.  Decided to forego exercise and drove home, stopping at Starbucks:  S: venti decaf (love that new blend, Pikes Market).  L: leftover ribeye steak and 1.5 hours resting quietly in my recliner with the dogs.  Felt better, so I went to aquacise.  S: another venti decaf.  D: homemade buffalo cheeseburger on whole grain bun.  Sounds like another rut, doesn't it?!  Kix

We bought some of that pike's market (roasted today!) to bring home.  I had a sip of Ryan's coffee (I was still working on my latte) and it was tasty.  It also smells so good.  Looks like I'm not the only lightheaded person around here!  And yeah I am feeling better, thanks.

You are definitely not the only light-headed (or light-hearted) person around here!  Although I don't have issues like what you or Kix have sometimes, my blood pressure gets so low sometimes that I get dizzy if I stand up too fast, and sometimes I'll get weird flashes of white lights in my peripheral vision.  It's weird when it happens and I try to remember not to stand up too quickly, but sometimes I just forget.   I'm glad you are feeling better and hope there are no repeats of that incident any time soon!!! Orthostatic hypotension is what you've got.  Definitely shouldn't be swinging me around then ;)
