No more Diabetes?

At least that is my prayer I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes in 2003.  I am two months post op and my blood sugar levels have been great 98/99/100/127 the highest!  No metformin for 6 weeks. Mskiki2007

At our last support group meeting one of the docs did a presentation that RNY cures diabetes.  I've not been on any meds since surgery and I was on 2 meds 2X a day.  Normal, normal, normal!

Sixty minutes on sunday had a story about WLS and how it appears to block the diabetes.  It has to do with the duodenum.  You can go to CBS then 60 minutes to watch the story.  It was really positive.

Yeah, good for you!!! I stopped my diabetic meds the day before surgery, per Dr's orders and haven't had to take them since.
