EARLY MONDAY WEIGH IN... AGAIN UGH!
I had a good weekend. Spent ALL day Saturday shopping, it was fun. I don't usually like shopping, but I did on Saturday. My sister and I ran errands yesterday, including a trip up to the Tree Farm (for locals who post here, it's the place with the goofy jingle "Take 1-25 to exit 235, then five miles west to the Tree Farm"). What they neglected to mention in their jingle is that you need to have an eagle eye once you get five miles west, because their signage is quite small. We almost missed it. We walked around looking at foliage for awhile, my sister wants to get a couple of trees for the yard and she wasn't sure what she wanted. I gravitated toward the oak, maple, and weeping willow trees, but she wants something flowery like a flowering crab. I had no idea foliage is so expensive, even the twigs we looked at were $100 each.
We also had to stop at Costco so she could get two sheet cakes for a celebration at work. I was
dying to just dive into the cake face first and eat until dead. I did not. I already made a mistake finding out I can eat bread (and struggle now) so I don't want to even try anything sugared.
My weight loss is pretty good this week, I don't know why. Maybe I sent my 6 lbs to the Springs so my pal PJ could tend it for a few days.
Please feel free to keep it in the Springs, I don't want it back!

You've got to say, I think that if I keep working at this and want it badly enough I can have it. It's called perseverance. -Lee Iacocca
Anyway, the good part about the meeting is that my weight is lower than I posted this morning, so I wanted to amend my morning weigh-in:
Beginning weight: 530 lb
Surgery weight: 407 lb
Last week: 222 lb
This week: 214.8 lb
Kix Posting a little late. Was at the monthly Bari support group meeting last night. I had a good week with food but not good with exercise. Last night's guest speaker was a PT and the whole topic was exercise. I felt a bit convicted. Although to be fair to myself, I hurt my back last week on the recumb bike (don't ask how) and had such pain down my hip and leg I could barely walk. Not conducive to exercise. My husband did an hour massage with aspercreme after a few days and then I had wrecked my left (already problematic shoulder) from sleeping exclusively on my left side because I hadn't been able to sleep on my right side cuz of the hip. Couldn't move my left arm in any direction. ALMOST took some of the pain medication that they sent me home from the hospital with that I didn't take then cuz I didn't need it post op. Yikes. TMI. Anyway, I guess I made a long story even longer...body parts are now healed enough that I need to get back on track. I believe my lack of movement contributed to my lack of scale activity and I also like how my body feels when I'm exercising. And since I read while on the treadmill and ex bike, I'm also behind on my reading.
