I has a tummy ache   Soy milk, which normally is not a problem and is quite yummy, did not sit well with me tonight.  I feel like I need to burp.  I am drinking hot tea, sometimes I can work up a burp with something hot.  I have to be at work early tomorrow, so I am starting this thread tonight.  For newbies, since we've got lots lately, this is a thread to list what you eat each day, share recipes, ask dietary questions of our resident expert Kellie, etc.  Some people are really dedicated to tracking everything that goes in to their mouths, and some post what they ate without any of that info.  I am somewhere in between, I post what I plan to eat each day, with all the calorie info, and usually more food than I'll really have, just in case its a hungry day.  And some days I don't track at all.  We hope you join us, and if you are a pre-op read up, because this will give you an idea what different people eat at different stages post-op and in some cases with different surgery types.  Happy Monday!

Just the thought of drinking soy milk makes me want to yak, I don't know what it is, I just cannot face it.  I feel the same way about cauliflower and okra. My WLS support group meets tonight, which means getting weighed, so I just may fast all day.  We'll see how long that holds out!   More later, Kix

I'm with you on the cauliflower, and okra isn't a big favorite here either... but soy milk is definitely a fave here.  I go through stages where I drink it often and stages where I don't.  It has less protein than milk, but I am sick of basically drinking either water or milk all day.  I also bought some almond milk, very low in protein, but its something different at least, and pretty low-cal.

Kix,  Soy Milk is delicious in cereal, raisin bran is my fav with it, Also you could mix your protein shakes with it and it would make it quite creamy.

Hope your feeling better soon Jenn! It's going to be another hot day here today, was over 100 degrees all weekend and today's is going to be 98 or so. Ugh, it's too early for this. It's also the begining of fire season and we've got one burning less than 20 miles from the house, my girlfriend and her family were evacuated in the middle of the night last night. Pre B - SF NF Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte

B - 2 Eggface Bites,  4 watermelon chuncks

S - Greek yogurt with Kay's Naturals cereal added in

L - homemade turkey chili

S - turkey jerky, Dutch fruit biscuits

D - crock pot chicken, veggies

S - mango slices, nuts

Jan, I was watching this fire on the news last night and worried that it was close to your house.  You're right, it is too early in the season for this.  Please stay safe!  I thought when I moved to CO I wouldn't have to worry about fire season any more, but we have fires up here, too.  Even though we had tons of snow this winter, things are already dry here.  ARGH. I am feeling fine today, thanks guys.  I think it was a combo of sour tummy and just eating too much.  I burped about 20 times with some hot tea and then felt soooo muuuuuch beeetttteeer.

B - I was in a hurry and starving this morning - got a breakfast burrito from a local place and a small OJ - the burrito is egg, cheese, and ham, large enough for 2 meals really.  I will give the other half to my male coworker who eats constantly and never gains anything.  That being said, half of it was still a LOT of calories (300) L - 16oz mootopia, benefiber, ovaltine (1/4 serving) S - the other half of the small OJ, 2 string cheese D - 6oz chicken breast, 1/2c cooked fresh green beans S - 16oz soymilk (silk plus fiber), 4oz brewed double strength chai tea, 1tsp vanilla syrup, benefiber, ice Gym - maybe.  Calories - 1230 Fat - 36g Carbs - 126g Fiber - 21g Protein - 96g Not my ideal day (where are the fruits and veggies?) but it will do
