What about juice?

Are/were any of you allowed to drink juice on your pre-op diet?  (Assuming it is 100% juice with no sugar added).

Pre-op liquid diet I was allowed juice (but that was one day) - if you drink juice I'd watch the calories and maybe look for some of the low carb juices, motts makes a good apple juice, or mix regular juice with water so you get the taste but not so much sugar.  If in doubt, you can always call your nutritionist or surgeon's office  :)  V-8 is also a good juice choice, I drink it post-op too.

I was on Medifast for 12 weeks so juice was not allowed! Check with your dr - everyone's pre-op liquid diet was/is different! Good Luck! Cece

The surgery center where I go recommends no liquids with more than 15 cal per 8 oz ever (pre or post op).

I was allowed juice providing it was suagr free or rather no added sugar !! I have found post op that I really don't like sugar all that much

Personaly I try to save my calories for food......except coffee drinks  Juice and juice drinks can be very high in calories  Estelle
