Well already, nine months.  Kind of scary, as my "window" for weight loss is speeding by.  I lost 9lbs this month, not too bad.  I'm kind of a negative Nelly today, everything is sort of trying my patience and if I had my way heads would roll.  Just one of those days.  So what's changed? I can wear any seatbelt in any car easily I can walk 3 miles easily I have more energy My blood pressure is 114/74 (as opposed to 190/120) I sleep better and there's a whole lot more room on the bed My shoes are all too big AGAIN I can wear shorts and dresses without being as embarrassed by my legs I can flap my arm wings and pretend to fly I have loose skin everywhere, kind of like a cat I guess I am happier.  I definitely feel better physically, but the mental side of things is still iffy.  I'll be to 150lbs lost really soon.  That's all I can think of at the moment, although I am sure there is more.  I'll post pictures later I think, although I may stop doing that and just post at a year out.  Before l_f403f3b2e7440fccccf6b02b0ac71a26 After IMG_5380 9 months out, down 147lbs Portrait after PS I was too lazy to do side by side stuff this time.

You have done an awesome job at this thing!  You are one of the leaders here on this board with your encouragement and I commend you on that. Your window will continue to stay open as long as you follow the rules of weight loss surgery. Hmm, I say that and I'm 3 months behind you.  But look at Kix and Kellie and Marge.  They are so much farther out than us and are still losing or maintaining.   So, slap negative nellie and tell her to shut up and move on to the 2nd half of your 18 months!

Thanks Kathy.  Negative Nelly is back in her place now.  The 4 lbs lost last night shut her up for a while.  Or maybe its the zoloft   You are an awesome leader on this board too, you are doing such a great job!

Thanks, and you will, or even better probably.  Some of that loss was pre-op.  I've lost about 115 post-op but I count from the pre-op diet because I worked HARD for those first 35 lbs.

great job, jen! i don't put a whole lotta stock in that window thing...i lost pretty steadily for a full 2 years, then maintained for a year, then lost again after having some plastics.  i've got some additional plastic work in a couple months, and am hoping it'll kick start me to lose a few more lbs. you are doing great -- try to squash those negative feelings and feel GOOD about yourself! deb

I don't put a whole lot of stock in it either, but sometimes it worries me just because I still have so far to go.  I do put stock in one thing though - if I am even remotely as successful as you've been I'll be walking on air.
