Hmm Negative Nelly has a lot of very negative things to say about Crystal Light.  I can't stand that stuff!  It tastes salty to me for some reason.  Hubby fortunately drank a lot of the flavors I bought before surgery.  That being said, Nelly has been put in her place and I am feeling much perkier today. Thanks for the comments :)

I certainly understand the negative nellie syndrome.  I am afraid I am suffering from it right now.  I have about convinced myself that my surgery will not happen next week because some sort of roadblock is bound to happen. I believe we are all allowed to doubt our progress; we just cannot let that doubt get in the way of future progress.  With that being said, I must say that I love your list of accomplishments at 8 months.  It makes those possibilities more real for me.  "IE: Me be able to walk 3 miles without problem in just 8 short months, that can't be?!?!  Oh, but Jen experienced that success and so can I if I stay as determined as she has!"  So, thank you thank you thank you for sharing despite feeling a little less than the wonderful person you are!

I felt the same way reading about what pj, kellie, kix, and others had accomplished.  I also felt the same way about surgery.  I was really worried that it would be canceled.  I'd be pregnant or something, that or they'd have to convert to open, which I was sincerely hoping wouldn't happen after seeing a friend's wound woes for months after open RNY.  (She was a poorly controlled/uncontrolled diabetic for many years and healed very poorly, had a lot of trouble after surgery).  You will accomplish so many amazing things, and its all right around the corner!  I am so excited for you!!!

First, congrats on a job well done.  You have made tremendous progress and I am extremely proud of you.  So, congrats, kudos, and 'atta girl.   Second, window-schmindow.  I bet you'll continue to lose for quite a while.  It may be less than the 9-10 pounds per month you've been doing for the past few months, but if you keep eating right and exercising, the pounds will continue to melt away.  It's the blessing and curse of starting out SMO; we have longer to go, but our tool sticks with us for the long haul.   Third, you wear that Negative Nellie with pride, girl.  I think most of us have days like that - I know I do and today was one of them.  I used to beat myself up when I was feeling evil-cranky.  Like I owed it to the world to always be perky, happy, and upbeat.  Well, here's a news flash - none of us are perky, happy, and upbeat all of the time.  Unless we're heavily medicated...  So just be where you are today, accept that that's where you are supposed to be and go with it.  But avoid any activities that involve a chainsaw or axe or hatchet or maybe even a butter knife (depending on just how negative Nellie is...).   Fourth, loose skin like a cat?  I'm jealous.  Me, I'm looking more like a sharpei every day...   {{{{{hugs}}}}} Kellie

Window-schmindow!  I'll keep that in mind.  I know a lot of the WLS lore doesn't really apply when you start so large, but its still quite worrisome sometimes - I want to get to goal so bad!  I am better today.  I made it to 150 so I'm that much closer to my next goal... 151.  Thanks Kellie!  You are so very important to making this board the wonderful place that it is.  We all thank you whole-heartedly!

Thank you :)  And I'll get those clothes out to you soon, I promise.  I am meeting my best friend tomorrow for my last day as a 20-something picnic, and I was going to let her go through stuff first.  We aren't built the same way but we are the same size (finally) so she may want to take a couple of things.  She so tall though, we'll see.

Aww guys I'm not really negative about my progress.  I am happy with that, very happy.  I am just negative about the world today.  I think its carb withdrawal and not being able to eat until almost 1 today because of late morning doc appt.
