One Step Closer!!
Of course my worries that my PCP would not give clearance for surgery was unwarranted. It is so neat to really have the medical professionals in my life so gung-ho about me having this surgery. There were practically routing for me as I left the office today. They had my clearance for surgery faxed before I left out the examining room and my dr had no problem ordering the last minute blood work I am going to need to have on Monday.
So next step, three appointments tomorrow...teaching seminar, hospital pre-op admission, and sign consents with the surgeon. Stinking thinking has me worried about traffic!! I know, I know - let this happen, but I can't shake the worry that something will fall through and my hunger from my pre-op diet will be all for naught!
I have to say though, I do want to believe that this will all work out and I don't mind when I am proven wrong, at least in these cir****tances! hehehehe

Congrats on checking one more thing off your pre-surgery to-do list!!! It all gets handled, step-by-step, even when we run into a few hurdles or roadblocks. I'm sure the rest of your appointments will go well, then you can cross that off your to-do list as well!!! Isn't stinking thinking annoying??? It hounded me until I was lying on the operating room table, and even then I wasn't it was real!!! But oh, it was real alright, and it will be only too real for you soon as well.
