Gym is Open (Dunny's 30th Birthday!) 5/9

While I spend my day with my knee elevated and packed in ice, and toasting Dunny with a bottle of SF Hawaiian Punch, I'll open the gym and ask what everyone else did to move bodies today? Kix

And on the 5th day, I rest.  I've done four days in a row of 2-a-days and I'm taking today off.  I'm having lunch with a friend who's also had WLS, then I'm running some errands after work.  And I'm cooking a nice dinner for my girlfriend when I get home (scallops, oven roasted zucchini, mushrooms, and maybe some grape tomatoes, and Uncle Ben's wild rice.   Good luck to everyone finding the time, motivation, and energy to move it today!!! No gym for me today.  I had another radio interview this morning so.  I went in dressed for the gym, but wasn't expecting him to do the interview for 45 minutes!  I appreciated all the exposure though. But,  yesterday, I did 40 minutes on the elliptical on a pyramid mouontain program and then switched to the cross trainer for 20 minutes.  Boy was I whipped after that workout!   Tomorrow we have a block party at an apartment complex and I'll be running around busy for that one.  Then there's a festival downtown that I want to get to and an illuminated parade tomorrow night.  I may get 15,000-20,000 steps in tomorrow for sure.  I know it's not an elevated heart rate level, but the movement still is good. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I did an hour on the treadmill this morning, 3 miles, about 600cal according to the machine.  It was hard after not being good about the gym this past week, but its over with.  I also plan to clean quite a bit and go through a lot of clothes to see what still fits, and pack up the rest.  And make a roast.  I am domesticated today.  Hope your knee is doing better!

I did my Curves 30 minutes workout!  I worked really hard today.  Still being Pre-Op it is sure a struggle....but I am doing it and trying to stay positive. Jennifer
