What's everyone doing for swimsuits?
While I know I am a much smaller version of my former self, I'm still at a loss as far as swim suits. I used to buy the top half of a tankini and just wear shorts for the bottom because no one should be subjected to looking at my thighs...inner or outer.
I tried on several tankini tops the other day and they are cut really funny. At least all the ones that I tired on this year. They are like the old bikini tops with a tube top around the midriff. So the fat under the arms is just all exposed. They would normally come up higher under the arm pits.
I'm down to an 18 on my top, but the bottoms are a comfortable 22 or an uncomfortable 20! And the legs, forget about them. they are still yucky and jiggly and wiggly.
Being that we live in Pensacola, the beach is a regular occurrance and since I don't have saturday classes until the end of June, it looks like we'll start our normal tradition of going on saturday mornings this weekend.
So, what's everyone else doing.
Hi, Kathy, have you checked out Land's End? They offer separate tops and bottoms in a variety of shapes, sizes and configurations. Depends on how much you want to spend for a suit you'll likely wear one season...
Me, I'm wearing a one-piece Delta Burke suit in a size 18, plus I picked up a size 18 Speedo suit at a garage sale. Since I only get in the water 5-6 times a year, that's plenty for me. Oh, I also have a little swim skirt I wear over both suits to hide the very, scary thighs. Nothing to be done about hiding the flappy arms, so they are just out there for the world to see. I figure if folks don't like 'em, they don't have to look at 'em!!!!
Good luck finding something you like!!!

I think I found my Delta Burke suit at Catherine's but other places carry her line as well, plus you can probably find them online.
One of the things I have to look for is a suit with a high scoop neck, otherwise the girls will float out in the pool. And how embarrassing that would be...
Good luck finding something you like!

I was hoping not wear the size 26 suit I had but its getting big and really doesn't hold up the boobies. I will probably buy a tankini type thing with shorts instead of a skirt, there are a lot of two piece options where you can pick your top and bottom these days. My main criteria is that it holds up the boobs, and most suits do a poor job at that. I need to find a built in bra. I don't want to spend much though since it probably won't work for long, so I may just have to buy something cheap and wear a t-shirt over it.
