Good morning/afternoon.  I hope everyone is eating HEALTHY protein-filled meals today.  I am losing a lot of weight this month, so I sort of don't want to mess with success, but as per surgeon's suggestions, I am going to try for 100g of protein today and 1200-1400calories.  I've gotten there before, but its still kind of an intimidating goal to me because I am nervous about not losing, or even gaining.  Who knows what my metabolism is like now?  Well, we shall see.  At least now when I get hungry at night I can have a small meal planned.  Here is my plan -  B - 16oz mootopia, 1 packet nsa cib S - 16oz vanilla soy plus fiber L - roasted chicken breast (3oz) and 1/2c edamame S - fiber one bar D - thin center cut pork chop, 1/2c nsa apple sauce S - fiber one yogurt Calories - 1170 Fat - 36g Carbs - 117 Fiber - 31 Protein - 107

So.....I weighed this morning.  Up 6 pounds.  I know it's not physically possible, but it still sucks.  It's water and I feel full.  I'm going to work on adding the veggies this week to get this gut moving.  Sluggish is the appropriate word that I can conjure up to describe how my tummy feels. B- SBD protein bar S-1/2 serving planters healthy heart nuts L-Salad with chicken & vinagrette D-Fish and grilled squash S-unjury protein shake

I'm working on the healthy protein-filled meals today, after being on vacation for a week.  I ate pretty well while I was on vacation, but definitely ate more calories and exercised less.  Of course, that leads to additional pounds on the scale, but I know what I need to do to lose them, so I'm happily back to my normal routine.  (Sometimes being a little OCD is a good thing...).   Anyway, here's what's on my plate today edited 5/30: Breakfast:  1 c. 1% milk in my coffee, 1 packet Quaker Weight Control oatmeal Snack #1:  1 c. low-fat cottage cheese, 4 tbsp. SF preserves, 2 diced strawberries, ~1/4 c. blueberries Snack #2:  1 medium banana [workout #1:  upper body strength training, core work] Lunch:  Lean Cuisine thai-style chicken Snack #3:  6 oz. Breyer's Light Yogurt, 1/3 c. Kellogg's AllBran Buds, 1 oz. beef jerky Snack #4:  1 slice whole-grain bread, 3 slices smoked turkey, 1 slice low-fat cheese, 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce, 1/2 oz. pretzel snaps [workout #2:  60 minutes cardio] Dinner:  Lean Cuisine salmon w/ basil, salad w/ cukes, light salad dressing crunchy rice noodles Snack #5:  post-workout apple Snack #6:  3 sugar-free fudgesicles Will update w/ totals later - Total calories:  1968 Carbs:  321.7 Fats:  38.2 Fiber:  46.5 Protein: 121.3

For 5 weeks your calorie count is fine. Remember this is your prime time to lose as much weight as possible. As you progress you'll eat more and add more calories per day.  Your protein levels are outstanding for a new post-op!
