Gym is open - workout wednesday I mean Thursday
So it's (edited....) over the hump day...what did you do to move your rump today?
Yesterday, I didn't make it to the gym but bought a bike! Rode shakily (is that a word?) for 15 minutes and realized the seat needed to be raised because my knee was killing me.
Today 20 minutes on the elliptical @ level 5 and then 30 minute upper body workout.
Somehow, my body is retaining water and I gained back up to 285. My brain knows it's not possible physically, but I'm still pissed!

Ummm... its Thursday.
I went for a walk this morning and did a lot of stretching. My lower back is acting up with a little sciatica right now. Not sure what set it off but probably it has to do with not working out much lately and everything back there tightening up.
I want to ride a bike!!

I don't think I've ridden a bike since like 6th grade. It is one of the things we plan on getting involved in once I am a little smaller though. My husband was a heavy rider before he met me, he didn't have a car so that was how he got around Phoenix. I don't think I am QUITE ready for it yet though.
You'll be suprised and how quickly you get over it. I am still scared of falling and do things that are totally unnecessary to keep myself from doing it. I've had two bad falls down stairs and they were not fun.
You and I are the same weight. You should try it. I'm 5'7" though and I think you are a tad shorter?

Hehe a tad - I am 5'
I will try it soon but not quite yet. I've had some bad falls myself, not down stairs thank goodness, but a number of sprained ankles and one broken wrist later I am definitely nervous about falling. Plus we don't have bikes :)
Thanks for keeping the gym open while Kix is having her grand adventure! Today's my first day back from vacation, and I'm enjoying getting back in my regular groove.
I'm hitting the gym twice today. I lifted weights for upper body at lunch time and did a little core work. I'm going back to the gym after work for 60 minutes of cardio, probably 30-40 minutes on the elliptical trainer and 20-30 minutes on the rowing machine.
I did a lot of eating while I was on vacation, and am ready to work hard to take off the weight I put back on over the past week!
