Introducing myself

Hi everyone! I lurk on here a lot and have answered a random post or 2, but you ladies seems so nice and welcoming, I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Brandi, I'm 28, and still pre-op. Tomorrow I go for my psych eval and that's the last thing I need to get my insurance approval, so hopefully it won't be too much longer. I look forward to "meeting" all of you!

Hi Brandi!  Good luck on your psych eval!  I haven't paid too close attention to where everyone is from, but noticed you are in MD.  If you go to the DC OH Conference in Oct we will ACTUALLY meet.  :)  I'm planning on going and am patiently waiting for them to post where it will be held to get a hotel room and all.  I think DC is a 3 hour drive from Richmond, so I will probably stay in town and hang with some of the other local VA ladies I know already.  :)

Hi Brandi - I was 28 when I started looking into surgery and started my pre-op diet, and 29 when I actually had surgery.  I wish you all the best as you prepare and a "formal" welcome to you as well. 

Hi Brandi, Welcome! You, Jenn and the rest of the younger ladies are so smart to start your journey to health early in life. Making these changes is a lifesaver - regardless of what you choose. Besides, now somebody other than Estelle will understand Jenn's music... - stuck in the '60s (musically)
