I don't know if I can do this! Anyone experience this?

I am new in the process but I think about that stuff too.  I was glad I was able to read everybody's responses to you cause it tells me that it is the right decision for me.  So thanks for "letting" me read your responses and learn something about myself!  I saw my doctor Friday and discussed my fear of PE's too, he is going to give me heparin pre op aqnd Lovenox or heparin post op. Though I dont hyave a history of clotting factors I do have a>65 BMI and if nothing else it will give me piece of mind. Just talk to your Dr.  People dont die in  surgery because of their weight unless there are other issues. 30.years ago yes but not now. If you have respiratory proplems they keep you on a respirator until you stablize. The biggest problem is with post of leaks, thats why you really have to baby your pouch while it's healing, and move around alot to prevent blood clots. Take to your doctor or anesthesioligist, they can help eleviate your fears
