Just wanted to introduce myself:
Hi all, I have been lurking here for years and know many of you through your posts. I have tried to have the surgery for years but my State job insurance had an iron clad exclusion. On January 1st our insurance finally picked it up, but we had to be part of a program called Why Weight for six months first. Well......as I July 1, 2008 I qualify. So my stuff will be turned into insurance on July 3rd and my surgery is scheduled for July 14. I am sooooooo excited. I am having the surgery in Great Falls, Montana with Dr. David Rohrer. So, I look forward to getting to know many of you.

Congratulations! I'm new too, I wish I knew about this site years ago, maybe I would have made my mind up sooner. I have learned so much in the last month reading this site. My surgery is scheduled for June 30th.
I'm so thankful we have this great place to come ask questions and talk about what we're going through. It will make the process a lot easier than doing it alone.
Can't wait to see pics of your progress!

Carrie it's such an awesome feeling when you get your date! I'm so glad you stopped lurking and decided to post. There's lots more who look and never post on here, but hopefully we are helping people with our questions, inspiring people with our successes, and humoring people with the crazy comedy here sometimes.

Welcome, and cograulations on getting your date. I too have just received my date. Renee, it looks like you and I are going to be twins. We will be reborn on the same date. June 30th. Two weeks away. It will go very quickly.
