I've been looking for a decent CHEAP bathing suit for a while, and with my mom and little brother coming to visit next week I am sure we will be at the pool, so the search got a little urgent. I finally found one at sears, where all the swim wear is currently 50% off - putting most suits in the 30-40 dollar range. Just thought I'd let you all know in case you were in a similar situation. I bought a 2 piece set, top and skirt, in a 20. I thought the 20 would last a little longer than a 22. Its a tiny bit snug, on bottom but fits correctly on top. It'll work for now, and its not ugly. I snapped pictures but not sure I am brave enough to show them. Maybe I'll edit this later with photos.

No I haven't but I am hoping it will work out ok. I wanted to cover the thighs as much as possible. They also had a 2 piece suit with shorts instead of a skirt but it wasn't hold up the girls well enough. It was between this and a swim dress kind of thing and this was the lesser of two evils. We'll see if it floats up, but I don't think it will right now, its pretty tight.
Must say that I am jealous.... I can't wear a two piece yet, but hopefully next summer after the surgery I will be right there..... Show us.... will be great inspiration :) I am sure you look great.
I am going to go and check out the sale, but will only be getting a one piece that hopefully covers enough... hah a.

Ok here we go. This is possibly the BRAVEST thing I have ever done. Remember I still have a BMI over 50 - I still look like a lot of people who are pre-op, and I'm SHORT. I am not crazy about these pictures because to me they look exactly like I did 160lbs ago. I know I'm not, but I look the same (or worse) in a bathing suit. But we have to be brave and learn to love ourselves, so *gulp* here is ghostly pale me in my new size 20, slightly small, bathing suit.
and the dreaded behind pic

You ABSOLUTELY DO NOT look like your pre-surgery pictures! It's our disfigured body image that we have of ourselves. My husband was looking at me from behind and said that I don't even look like I did 7 months ago. I still poo-poo him about my rolls, but if they can see it, why can't we? A mystery!
You look fantastic. Now if you could grow a few inches, you'd have your bmi out of 50...ah, just drop the weight like you are already doing. You can't help your height...you are going all you can to drop the pounds!
I applaud your bravey in showing the photo. I was going to and hesitated. Maybe I will now that you did. LOL We are all our own worst critics. I think you look happy & that suit is very becoming on you! Way to go!! We all have hope....just think about last summer and what we all wore for a bathing suit. Wish I had a pic from last year...then I wouldn't be so negative about this year. ANd then....wait till we see what we are NEXT summer. its all good! You are doing fabulous Jen! HUGS
