Woo!
Came home from a craptacular exercise experience today and found a message on the voice mail from the State of Colorado. Hm! Listened to the message, turns out one of the WIC folks who interviewed me for the gig I didn't get referred my application to this person who is looking for a grant contracts tracker. Of course, I called her right back, and it sounds promising. It's a new position, which intrigues me even more.<> The pay isn't terrific (same pay as the WIC gig), but it is work with decent benefits and in a field I enjoy.
<>Long story short, I have an interview tomorrow at 1 PM. Of course, it's going to be 102 degrees tomorrow, so I'm hoping I can get there before I sweat to death.
Everyone, cross your fingers!

Because I needed some kind of good news today. I've had the most craptacular day in history, including a nervous breakdown e-mail to my boss where I begged for forgiveness for being the worst graduate student in history.
Thank you for sharing this news so I actually had a reason to smile today. I'm thrilled for you, and wish you the best best best of luck tomorrow! And then when you get it, give me a grant!
