Wow, I can't believe I've been doing the post-op thing for a year now. It went by soooo fast. Why does time go by faster as you get older, and how LAME that time goes by faster as you get older!
I am happy that its been a year. I wish I'd lost more, of course, but you take what you can get and do the best you can with it, right? I actually haven't weighed myself yet today, so I don't know how much I lost in the year, but I'll check soon I suppose. I think I've lost 175 total, and 140 of that has been as a post-op.
Except for being a complete mental wreck, I feel much much better than I did a year ago.
Here's the food plan for today.
B - 16oz mootopia
L - leftover enchiladas (I added ground beef afterall, it needed to be used)
D - not sure, I'd really like beans and cornbread, and some greens, oddly enough. But unless I go get them at a restaurant I'm out of luck, its probably too late to start a pot now, and I'd have to go shopping. Blech. Sooooo, I don't know what the future holds for dinner. If I get a chance I'll post it this evening.
Thanks for everyone's support this year, this is the most wonderful place ever. You are all such good friends and I don't even know you!

L - leftover Italian Pasta Salad
D - probably more leftover Pasta Salad, LOL
The beans, cornbread and greens sounds good... maybe we'll do Luby's instead, they always have great veggies that I love and the DH won't eat, LOL

boring eating day for me today.
B - SBD protein bar
S - 2 oz 97% FF beef jerky
L - Salad w/avacados, tomatoes, onions, provolone cheese and Southwest chicken strips with some balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The little packages of pre-cooked chicken strips are awesome if you have the rest of the salad fixins to go with it.
D - something pork. Forgot what Karl said he took out for dinner with braised spinich, little olive oil and lemon juice.
I've found South Beach Diet has these drink packets that have 6g fiber, 3g of protein and 30 calories in them and they are sugar free. To me, they aren't sickeningly sweet as I usually add one of the crystal light packets to 20 oz of water not 16.9. Good way to drink some fiber and get those pipes moving!
have a great day everyone!

Trying to curb the carb monster here. (but lunch tripped me up)...
B- 2oz. turkey deli meat
L- most of a 4oz. chicken kiev (breaded), 2 tbsp. mac& cheese
S- 1oz. string cheese (dang it, why do I need the snack - I'm not supposed to snack!)
D- taco meat with cheese and black olives (and maybe a dab of sour cream?)

Doing great today with getting all my meals in. It's soooo much easier here where the kitchen is closer, and I have the icemaker and blender. I've been loving the frosty shakes today.
B - Blueberry Shake
S - Dutch Chocolate Shake
L - Peach oatmeal
S - Orange cream shake
S - another Orange cream shake
D - steak and green beans
S - vanilla pudding - OMG, I'm out of chocolate

When I started college (back before you were even a gleam in your parents' eyes), I told my mother I was tired of time dragging so. She laughed and said, "Just wait. Once you hit 21, you'll blink and you'll be 40. Blink twice and you'll be 50."
How true! I still can't believe I'm 50, my brain is convinced I'm still in high school.
Here's what I ate today:
B: 1 can Instone pudding @100 calories, 20g protein
B2: Starbucks venti decaf w/cream/SF caramel syrup/1 pkt splenda @55 calories, 2g protein
L: 1 MetRx RTD protein drink @240 calories, 51g protein
S: 2 cans Instone pudding @200 calories, 40g protein
D: 6 oz halibut and 6 oz green beans @ 300 calories, 37g protein
Big azz snacks (one per hour) 3 NSA Dilly Bars @570 calories, 0g protein
Totals: 1465 - 330 calories expended = 1135 calories and 150g protein
I did not enjoy the NSA Dilly bars at all and I'm cross that my sister brought them in the house.
On the other hand, it took care of my chocolate jones. I feel all PMSy even though I think I'm starting menopause -- I get PMSy and no period shows up. ARGH.
