My new solution is just don't eat. It the anorexic solution to your pocketbook woes. Everyone is talking about it.

Not really, although I wish I didn't want to eat, that would be nice. I had a few caramels last night and they were way too good. I dreamed about candy alllllll night.

Food today.

B - English muffin (100cal whole grain) with peanut butter

L - pita/turkey/hummus sammich again. I eat it so often I started buying two packages of each at the store.

S - myoplex RTD if I can choke it down, I had a hard time finishing one yesterday

D - chicken and beans/veggies

Here's my menu du jour:

B - Syntha 6 strawberry milkshake

L - chicken chili with 2% cheddar and a dollop of Greek yogurt

S - SF pudding cup

D - seared scallops with tomato-basil puree

We save money by actually eating what we buy!  We used to do a lot more impulse buying - picking up things that looked good, but that weren't on the grocery list or that would fit well with our menu plans.  So we go to the store more often, but overall we buy less.

We also manage to save when we eat out, often sharing one appetizer and one entree, or getting one appetizer and a couple side salads.  In the old pre-surgery days, we'd order 2 appetizers and 3 entrees between 3 people, eat about half of what we ordered, take the rest home, sometimes eat it, sometimes not.  I like the new routine much better!!!

I tried saving money by venturing into different protein bars. It didn't work out so well - no sugar alcohol issues this time, but they were way too tasty (or maybe just different) and I ate about 5 yesterday. I'm slipping into old, bad eating patterns of late night grazing. We also had Chinese takeout last night and I hit the sesame chicken after Clay went to bed. I need to go to bed when he does, at least for now, I think.

Today's a new day.

B - MF Smore's Bar
S - MF shake
L - MF chicken & rice soup
S - MF shake
S - MF pudding
D - Roasted chicken, grilled zucchini
S - MF Chai Latte
