Sounds like you are doing wonderful, but don't overdo it.  Keep us posted!

I'm doing my best NOT to overdo it; just trying to move around as much as I comfortably can, but still spending a lot of time in my recliner napping, watching tv, reading, etc.  I'm also spending about 10 hours a night sleeping (not 10 hours straight, but in 3-4 hours chunks).  My sister and a good friend, who are both nurses, said the more I could walk around, the faster I'd heal.  Think it has to do with helping the fluids in my body circulate....  So I'm doing short walks outside when the weather permits (10-15 minutes at a time) or doing laps in my house on days like today when the weather is crappy!

I took 1-week post op pictures this morning - will work on figuring out how to get pictures loaded online in the next week or so.  The difference is amazing, even with the swelling...

Hope things are going well for you, Kathy!

It sounds like you are doing really well. Don't push yourself too hard - enjoy the rest.

Thanks, Patty!  I'm trying to enjoy the rest, but I'm a real extrovert and miss being around people.  For some folks, a month at home by themselves would be a blessing and a godsend.  For me, it's almost like a prison sentence....  I'm spending a lot of time on the phone and corraling people to come visit me!  Thankfully it's only a month and I'm already a quarter of the way through it already!!!
