Two weeks post tummy tuck. Still hanging out at home, bored stiff. Switched to regular Tylenol yesterday during the daytime for pain management, but still took Percocet at bedtime so I knew I would sleep comfortably. Tylenol seems to be enough during the day; if that continues to hold true, I'm going to try driving tomorrow. Just a short trip to Border's, where there will be places to sit if I get tired, and maybe I can get a cup of coffee or a snack. And just enjoy being out and about in the real world.
The surgeon pulled one of my drains on Monday, 10/13, but the other one was still putting out 80-90 ccs in a 24-hour period, so it's still in until at least next Monday, 10/20. But one drain is better than two. My abdominal muscles are still sore and I can't stand upright yet, but that's to be expected. But all in all, feeling great.
Only "problem" is that a lot of the excess fluids have landed on my hips and seem to be staying. At least that means the abdominal binder is doing it's job, but I look pretty darn funny. Binder is holding my mid-section in, then these fluid-filled hips flair out like nothing I've ever seen before. I know it's a temporary thing, so I'm not worried about it - most amused by how funny my body looks. Hey, a girl has to keep her sense of humor, yes?
Anyway, that's my story ladies. I hope all is well with you. I haven't been spending too much time online - not very comfortable to sit in front of the computer for long, plus my internet connection is being temperamental. Hope to check in again soon -
Peace, out -
Kellie
