Exercise now ****** me off-- a rant from a formerly SMO nutjob

Up until a few weeks ago, I was starting to like exercising. I always hate cardio, but feel better after walking, biking, jogging, so I grumbled, but I did it.

Now I just don't want to do it. And I had to search deeply to figure out why.

The scale's moving slower, so I don't get the shot in the arm I got from watching it move. But that's not it:

It's the skin.

It's not how it looks-- I don't give a crap about that. It's the way it feels. For those not there yet or who bounced back better than I have-- the sensation is like having limbs made out of a stick, surrounded by a hefty bag full of jelly. My legs, arms, breasts and belly now constantly slosh about. Shapewear can help during the work day to some small extent, but I can't exercise while encased in nylon. (I do wear a swimsuit for support, though.)

I was going to take a water aerobics instrutor's course next week, but the flapflapflapping drives me nuts.

I am down to about 164 pounds now and not much fat left-- I am supposed to be 138i****'s all skin. I can't get my ass into anything smaller than a size 14, although my top is now a medium since the girls left.

These piles of stupid skin are making me feel fat again.

AGH!

(yes, I know--- plastics-- but that's next year!)

Realizing that I will have that issue too got me thinking.

What about a wetsuit to hold "Flipper" in place while you exercise in the pool?

Another idea is cool cat suits I have seen some for muslim women that I think are really pretty - like a full body tat you can take off. I think they are spandex.

I have a zip-on short wetsuit (one from Junonia) , but A) nothing  says, "Hey look at me I am a nutcase!" quite like a wetsuit at a community pool and B: It makes every bump and roll very visible since it's skin tight-- NOT flattering.

Regardless I do wear it sometimes, and lyrcra shorts when I exercise helps too.

That's one thing I love about my health club. Many of the 6PM water aerobics folks are MO - some are even SMO. Some wear bike shorts, bras and tee shirts. No one in the club has ever said anything derogatory to me - only encouragement. I suppose that a community pool would be different, but make it a fashion statement. Damn grrrl, you're sassy enough.

One time I swam in a tankini bottom, an exercise bra and a tank top when I was too fat for a Roaman's bathing suit and the one I got from another place was too short in the body. Wear a loose tee or tank top to flow over the thing. Do you lead water aerobics from the pool or on land? At my club the instructor is on land. Whatever works.

Maybe PJ or Kix have some wisdom for ya.
