Well done! Congratulations! I am so happy for you. I remember a little more than a year ago when you were mortified with the cpap. Look how far you've come!!!

How wonderful!   You have transfomed your life!!!  I am in awe of your success.  I am nearly 1 week from my WLS and can only hope I can be writing one year from now of the success I will have!!

Thanks!  And I, for one, can't wait to read about your success a year from now and all the ups & downs along the way. I wish you good luck with your upcoming surgery. Be sure to post everything going on , good and bad, so we can all be there for you through it all.  Expect great things mixed with a bit of frustration at times and possibly some disappointments when the scale doesn't seem to cooperate. Just know that its ALL that happens over the next 18 months that counts, aka the big picture...not just the ocassional hurdles.  HUGS  Jeanine

Congratulations!
You are one of the biggest inspirations on this board.  There are a few of you, I read and keep coming back for more to keep me on track.  I tell everyone about this forum because of people like you, who know where we all were at some point in our lives before taking the step to WLS.
I am at 3 months and stalled. I am frustrated..... I am scared that I will fail.......I worry that the surgery will not work or that I have already stretched my pouch.  I have been SO determined
and I do not want to fail at this.
Thank you for showing me it can be done.  I could have written the story of diabetes, sleep apnea, chair selection in restaurants...dr's offices...anywhere.  I also felt like a prisoner in my own body.
Thank you for giving back

Thank you, thank you, thank you

Congrats and ((HUGS))

Oh Penny, thank you so much for your kind words!  I can guarantee you that 9 months from now, I will be reading about your surgiversary and how far you  have come also!  Try not to  be discouraged about the stalls...they are tough to work through, yes, but I promise you if you keep with it, develop good eating habits & drink your water, the chances of you "failing" will be zero.  We all know going into this that it is a major lifestyle change. It makes absolutely no sense to revert back to fast food and grab & go eating. It fills you with empty garbage, more calories and that feeling of self loathing for not doing the right thing. Its that self sabbotage that brought nothing but pain and misery to our former lives.  The WLS tool is our "get out of jail" card, but its not FREE...we have to work at it and put the effort into it because WE ARE WORTH IT!  Believe it or not, when I went from eating tablespoons of food to 1/2-3/4 cup I feared stretching my pouch also, but my doctor assured me I was right on target and I listen to my body very carefully so that I don't eat more than I should.  Its sort of comforting to know we all share the same fears. Every morning when I wake up I have to glance in the mirror and make sure all the weight didn't come back overnight while I was sleeping!  Weird, huh?  Don't be scared, be excited. You have MANY WOW moments ahead of you....enjoy the journey!!   Big HUGS  Jeanine
