MONDAY WEIGH IN (November 17, 2008)

Happy Monday, everyone!  It's the start of another week, so let's get hopping.  Hopping will burn at least one or two calories.

Did everyone have a nice weekend?  My sister and I went to a holiday craft fair on Saturday, which was kind of uninspired in terms of the stuff being offered.  We liked the one at the Merchandise Mart better, so we know next year not to bother with the one downtown.

On Sunday, we went to see "Quantum of Solace" (the new James Bond flick).  I'm not a big fan of James Bond films, but I have to admit I like the new Bond.  Besides being smokin' hawt, he brings an edginess to the role that wasn't there before.  Having said that, the storyline was a bit weak, but still enjoyable, so I recommend it.  Our local paper gave it a solid B, which I agree with.

My weight hasn't shifted a drop one way or another.  This is due to sheer laziness on my part, not just from lack of exercise, but lax eating as well.  I do not want to get circus fat again, so I need to get back on track.  I won't be starting back at the gym until Saturday, but I can certainly take time out during this week to at least walk briskly around our campus.  The weather is supposed to be glorious most of the week, so no excuses.

Today's weight: 238 lb still, grr.

Hi, Kix!  Good weekend here - sinful comfort food dinner at my Mom's house on Saturday (chicken casserole, dumplings w/ gravy, green beans, biscuits, and prune spice cake for dessert).  Went to hear a local singer/songwriter Saturday evening, then had a lazy day at home yesterday...

Thanks for the review of the new Bond flick.  I'm not a big Bond fan, but I may go see this anyway, as I do like action flicks and there's not many other movies out right now that I want to see.

My weight has been in the same 180-183 range for the past 2-3 weeks.  I'm hoping that when I'm done with both rounds of plastic surgery and can get back to a more regular exercise routine at the gym that I'll get back down in the low 170 range...  For now, I'm just trying not to gain, to get plenty of protein, and to focus on paying attention to what my body says it can handle.

Here my numbers for the week:

Beginning weight:  396

Surgery weight:  386

Last week:  183.0

This week:  183.2

I had a great weekend. Friday night I did dinner with two of my friends to celebrate our birthdays (we all have birthdays within 4 days of each other). It was a great relaxing dinner with lots of talking! Saturday was pretty quiet. Sunday I took the kids to church and then we went to my mom's house to help her make Christmas Cookies. I did have one cookie, but that is a lot better than last year when I probably would have had 10, plus some fudge....

Overall I have loss 72 pounds and only 75 pounds to go to my first major weight goal!!!

I am not a Bond fan but I watched the first one with the new Bond and liked it OK for the cinematography and um... manscape... (I could jus****ch it with the sound off and stare at Daniel Craig). I thought about seeing the new one for him only but I don't know.

I am going to see the Twilight movie hehehehe. I am embarrassed to say so but I enjoyed the books fairly well - at least the first one. They were pretty soap opera-ish from then on but I picked up the first one before a flight because it was the biggest book I could find. Little did I know it had that huge teenager print. That doesn't even make sense to me. The big print should be on the adult books, they are the ones who can't see!

My weight BLOWS today. 258, up from 253 for the last weeks???? HUH????

I am trying not to get upset because I know scales are evil and I had a lot of soy sauce last night so I am salty but dammit. *sigh*

It ranged in the 253-255 area all last week so I think that's where I am probably still.

Kix, hang in there!  I think with all the changes you've gone through, going back to work and all, you've just got to get back in a groove.  Your routine has definitely changed.

Look at the bright side...it didn't go up!

I'm going to claim a 1/2 pound loss this week:

Hi Kix,

I can totally relate to the "circus fat" thing... I never want to be there again.

My weight actually moved this week, I am really surprised... I lacked quite a bit in the exercise dept this week.

surgery wt:  344#
last week:  227.6#
this week 224.8#

loss this week of 2.8#
total loss 119.2#

Hopefully the numbers will continue to move.... especially if I get my butt in gear and get back to they gym this week!!

MY JOURNEY BEGINS...

My weekend started with getting hit from behind in my brand new Jeep. I saw so many accidents before I even got hit, the weather was such a pain. I wasn't hurt but my poor, beautiful Jeep had to be admitted to the car emergency room, where it is currently being operated on. At least the guys insurance is covering everything, even my rental car.

After that I had a pretty good weekend - a couple of AF basketball games, which were fun. Then I saw "The Secret Life of Bees" - which I loved. Great flick! And also went for a fun hike with a group of friends - 8 miles of up and down, up and down. My calves are feeling it today.

My period FINALLY started so I have lost most of the water weight I had gained. Now it's back to basics - I really want to lose 20 pounds before January.
