Calorie Countdown - Thirsty Thursday, are you drinking enough?

Today I am pulling out the sewing machine. I inherited several pairs of size 20 pants from my mom and they now fit, except for that pesky 4 inch or so hem they ALL need. Argh. I can't sew much of anything but I am definitely getting better at hemming.
B - 16oz mootopia, some kind of protein powder (I think I still have one or two random samples and a couple of BA samples as well as my Click)
L - chicken noodle soup
D - I don't know, we are going to a hockey game tonight but we plan to eat beforehand so we aren't tempted by the ridiculously priced and calorie-laden concessions. I'm thinking something out but relatively cheap, like Chipotle.
S - either milk or tea with honey

I can answer no to drinking enough. I was getting so tired of water I decided to try the Poweaide Zero - its really good. I cant do crystal light - it makes me sick
. I have a question - before any of you work out - do you have breakfast or something before hand? Usually when I get home I have a shake but I did not know if I should have something before hand - today I was kind of shaky at the gym.

Yes, after a few post-workout fainting spells I decided I'd better eat beforehand. I usually have a meal about 30-45min before the gym, but if its not a mealtime I'll do some yogurt or a piece of fruit at least. Give it a little time between eating and exercising, but it makes a big difference on my energy levels and on my endurance if I eat something, even just some peanut butter on a few apple slices or something like that.
I am hypoglycemic btw.
PS - I just tried SF hawaiian punch to break up some of the water, and its not half bad. I can't stand Crystal Light either, but some of the off-brands like the Target brand are ok for me. Not as salty and overpowering as CL.

B - Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries
S - protein bar
L - shrimp wonton soup, cheese
S - cottage cheese and Splenda peaches
D - The whole family (plus visiting relatives here from KY) aregoing out to a local smokehouse. I'm sure I'll order salad and 1/2 tri tip sandwich and then just pick off some of the meat. They also make homemade potato chips and I know I'll have a few.

I've never posted on this thread but always read it and your question today about eating enough makes me want to post. I've been having trouble eating since surgery and it's getting worse. I don't seem to be able to eat more than 4 or 5 bites of anything, Protein bars I eat but slowly, it can take me an hour to eat one bar. I've been trying to eat chicken, turkey, hamburger patty, swiss steak, taco meat, even chili now, something I once loved to eat, I can only eat the 4 bites and I feel as if one more bite will push me over the edge. I can't even think about eating cottage cheese anymore, I gag at the thought. How am I supposed to get my protein in?? My hair started falling out (I see about 3x the amount I usually see) about a month ago, I've always had thin, fine hair now it's thinner and finer!
So a typical day for me includes
B- Unjury Protein drink or AdvantEdge RTD
L-Protein bar- Atkins Peanut Butter or choc chop granola
S-a few nuts or sometimes an ounce of cheddar cheese with two or three saltines
D-I try to eat the protein from what I make the family for dinner but like I said never get more than 4 or 5 bites
After D- I usually have another protein drink after about an hour when my stomach makes room
So I figure I'm getting 50 to 60 grams of protein and between 400 and 500 calories a day. Is this okay for right now?
I am drinking a solid two liters a day, water and protein drinks combined.

Talk to your surgeon. You may have a stricture starting, and even if not its definitely a good idea to ask him/her what's normal.
Jen, two words for you with the hemming. Stitch witchery. Bondable hemming material with the iron. Easy, easy, easy.
