I didn't make resolutions, so I am not sticking to them. As always, I try to remind myself to go to the gym more but no matter what I can't seem to go steadily more than 3-4 times per week. I guess some is better than none, but I must say I wish I was better about that one - me and 95% of the population, I'm sure!

Here is my food for today -

B - clementine, 1/2c 2% cottage cheese

L - whole grain pita (half pita pocket) with 2 servings thinly sliced turkey and 1 serving shredded colby jack; 8 grape tomatoes

S - pear and yogurt

D - the bean and cheese enchiladas I'd planned on making last night, 1/2 avocado

S - 16oz skim mootopia

Calories - 1449
Fat - 51g (a little high, but that's avocado for you)
Carbs - 150g (30g from fiber)
Protein - 96g

I have decided, after much playing around, that if I want fruit and veggies in my life, which I definitely do, then I'm just going to have to deal with seeing the carbs over 100g everyday.

Dunny, I keep forgetting to tell you how great your new avatar looks!  Hubba hubba!

Yes, I made resolutions.  I'm planning to ease into them this week.  My resolutions simply have to do with living a more post-op WLS friendly life in terms of mindful eating and fitness.  One of my resolutions is to post my food every day.

I have totally lost my taste for vegetables as a post-op, and I was never much of a fruit-eater.  The only things I really like post-op are corn, green beans, salad, and avocados.  I used to love all vegetables (except for cauliflower, lima beans, and okra).

I look forward to fewer carbs in my life, they result in me feeling bloated and floppy.

I'll post my food tonight, I really don't know yet what I'm eating other than the protein drinks I brought to work, plus a tub or two of coffee.

Thanks :)

mmm veggies.. how can you not like veggies???
mmmm fruit... I wish I didn't like fruit so much.... stupid carby fruit.

I am totally with you on cauliflower, lima beans, and okra though. Post-op the only things I haven't tolerated well were broccoli and asparagus. Broccoli is gone forever, etched into my brain as a no-no. Asparagus... meh... no big loss.

I cannot eat broccoli any more either, even if I cook it until dead.  I forgot about asparagus, I can still eat asparagus and I do like it, I'm just not passionate about it like I was prior to WLS.

Here's what I ended up eating yesterday:

B:  venti coffee and pumpkin scone from Starbux
S: small protein drink (17g 110 cal)
L; grilled cheese sandwich on whole grain bread, yum!
S2:another small protein drink (17g, 110 cal
D: Taco Bell (2 crunchy tacos)
S3: another small protein drink (17g 110 cal)

Too many carbs still, and not enough water.  I drank about 48 oz water, which is half of what I have been drinking.  It's hard to drink water in the winter.

My only resolution is to keep on track and drink all of my water.  I am working on exercising more.  I bought a new DVD to supplement working out with my trainer.  Maybe that will help.  I got the new Jillian Michaels 30 "Shred"  it has 3 levels of workouts so maybe it will keep me entertained.

B - 1/2 OH YEAH (15)
L- Turkey Taco Meat with Salsa and Tomatoes little lettuce (28)
S- String Cheese (8)
D- Chicken and Black Beans (17)
S- 1/2 OH YEAH (15)

83 Gms of Protein

Water is definitely a weak point for me sometimes - I bought a 32oz water bottle and carry it everywhere - I make sure to drink at least two before bed, on top of whatever tea, milk, coffee etc that I might drink. It does get easier once you can swallow a little more at a time without discomfort.

Why thank you. I have a hard time believing that picture is actually me, but since I took like 5 more at the same time and they all looked more or less like that, I guess it is. I am pleasantly surprised!
