One year surgiversary !!!!!

It's been a year!  I can't believe how quickly this year has flown.  At this point I can barely remember the early days.  It is sometimes frustrating that I still have aways to go after 1 year, but I am so glad that I went through it.  I made my 1 year donation of blood this morning and may have figured out what has caused my acid reflux....crystal light.  Interesting. 

It's amazing how much has changed.  I pray that I always remember how much better my life is now compared to a year ago.  I also hope that I truly appreciate the gift I have been given.

The picture below is me at my high at Christmas 2007, the night before surgery, at 6 months out and at 12 months out.    I think my brain still sees me more like 6 months out, but I'm getting there.

Thanks to everyone that participates on this site.  I don't post a lot cuz I'm not much of a writer, but this site truly makes THE difference for post-ops.

I havent given blood in year because of all my meds now maybe they will let me.
I hope i can look as good as you do soon..

YOU have done such a fantastic job!  Btw..the blood was for them to test it.  Hoping all the levels come back good.  Unfortunately I can't donate blood.
