hanging skin on face and neck
My surgeon has said the best thing to do is to stay hydrated (I am starting to wonder if he has stock in the water industry, haha).
I have several friends that swear tanning makes their skin firmer but I think that will be counter productive in a few years when you have added sun damage. And one friend who has tried to convince me Preperation H is the way to go...but I ain't putting that stuff on my face!
Good luck!

Ive lost 180 lbs and Ive had the same problems. My face and neck have improved with good skin care and exercises but my triple chin is now just hanging skin.
As someone else said...keep well hydrated.
use a mild glycolic cleanser
exfoliate
and MOISTURIZE
I also bought a facial flex. its a small thing that goes in your mouth to exercise facial muscles. I do think it helps some..but not drastic!!!

Big problem for sure. I'm 57 and lost 115 lbs. and couldn't stand all my hanging skin. There is an answer, however! PLASTICS!!!! In November I had an upper body lift consisting of a brachioplasty, breast lift w/ augmentation, and neck and lower face lift. I love each of these procedures so much that I'm headed back in 3 weeks for the lower body lift. You can certainly check out the plastic forum and see some results. I just posted some of my photos if you care to see. Yeah, it hurts and it's expensive, but hey, we only live once and want to look as good as we feel!! I'm very happy to discuss further if you'd like.

Hi Dawn,
I was a self pay and never even looked into asking my insurance company about any of my plastics since I was quite certain that I wouldn't qualify based on my research. I just wanted to begin that process and not wait and go through all of their hoops only to be disappointed.
My neck/lower face lift was part of the package I had that included breast lift and brachioplasty (arm lift). All of these procedures were to remove excess skin. This was done last November and I am thrilled with my results (I have a few photos on my home page). The facelift was about $5,000 and well worth it. I looked into some other options (Lifestyle Lift and others) but most of the people agree that you should save your money for a "real facelift".
While I know that times are lean for many people these days with the economy, this is what's important to me. I've come too far in this journey to not be satisfied with my body and want to cover it up. I'm going in for my final lower body lift in 11 days. Total of all of my surgeries will be about $30K (about the price of a car). I know that I'll be happier with using my money this way than with a new car sitting in a parking spot. I took out a loan for my surgeries so I'll be paying for the next 7 years. Good news is that interest rates are low and many doctors are lowering their fees.
Good luck with your various options!
