Kentucky Derby

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else is really into the derby.  I so love watching all pre derby shows, and then the actual race itself.  I usually do a lot more research than I have this year.  My hubby and I will be going to the local harness track to make a few bets for the derby. 

My pick this year is:

      # 2 Musket Man

      # 20  Flying Private

      # 16 Pioneer of teh Nile

      # 11  Chocolate Candy

Who do you guys like?

 I don't think I have ever watched a race, but one of my friends works for a non-profit and as a fund raising idea they are hosting a party to watch the race and all the women dress as if they were going to watch the race in Kentucky.  What a clever idea!

As a Louisville native living in southern KY now I am always homesick for Louisville at Derby time.  I used to wake up on Saturday morning and watch the local tv coverage from sunup to after the last race. 

I read this late, but I was for the retired principal's horse - General something or other.  Looks like almost all of us were wrong!  LOL
