I'm so glad that you are OK and got in to be checked out ASAP.
I've been having dizzy spells in the last 4 weeks that I didn't have at my higher weight and my meds haven't been adjusted yet ( I just made an appt yesterday). You've lost much more, much faster, so I bet that whalloped you but good.
Thanks for warning folks about this.
Oh, and yes, my spells happen most often on days I workout or do a lot of chores, don't hydrate well and forget to eat.
Hi Peggy
Did you eat before you ran your errands? Just a thought.
About 2 weeks after my 1 year post op followup, I had to see my PCP because I have been taking potassium, lasix (40 mg) and levothyroxone. Up to this point, I was able to spend a lot of time on the treadmill and after recovery from a blood blister, I went on the treadmill and started getting dizzy and to the point that I had to stop the treadmill. This was in the evening and I take my meds in the morning. I went up to the fitness center desk at the gym and asked that my blood pressure be taken. It was something like 98/60 and stablized after I drank some water and took some deep breaths but it was something I addressed with my PCP as well as feeling dizzy if I got up too fast. My PCP cut my potassium and lasix in half and I have been feeling better. Tried other things than the treadmill--I think I got motion sickness or something. I may try it again at one point but I like the elliptical, weights, bike and zumba better anyway.
I also think as we lose weight, our center of gravity changes. We are used to centering a higher weight and it takes adjustments to get our balance back.
You are doing great--hang in there. The doc will address those dizzy spells.
