Need some help
I had RNY 5/11 and have lost a total of 83 lbs since surgery... The last couple of months I may have lost a total of 5 lbs and I battle with going up one or two but that is it it's been like that for the last couple of months.
I feel like I'm the only person that the surgery didn't work for.. I work out at least 3-5 times a week and still nothing.. I really feel like calling my surgeon to reverse the surgery at least I wouldn't battle with vomiting as much. I guess I'm really in a slump my husband tells me that things will pick up but they haven't yet. I dont know if I should call my surgeon and tell him my concerns ... I really am just at a loss and I feel like giving up...
first appt weight 349
pre op 339
current weight 257

Are you tracking what you're eating? Maybe you're not eating enough?
I don't think vomiting is normal as far out as you are. Maybe you have a problem related to the surgery?
I'm 7 months out and I've had the foamies a few times, but I've never vomited.
I really think you need to call your doctor and talk about what's going on.
Take care!!

One food makes you larger, and one food makes you small...

I feel you. I have noticed that if I eat carbs, I don't lose and sometimes gain. I'm a tad bitter about it. I had NO idea I'd have to eat low carb after this surgery. I do my best to keep my head up, TRY to make smarter food choices and be grateful to how far I've come. I was feeling fat and saw a video up on YouTube my brother had up from last years Halloween. That giant fat girl isn't me anymore I'm still fat, but I'm not giant. Hang in there, it may be slow but at least it's moving in the right direction.
Awwww, honey, dont give up. Just keep doing what your doing. The weight will come off. You havent failed, your surgery hasnt failed. I'm sure that you've gotten all the advice about how to change things up and help the wieght loss start again, so I wont add to it. Just keep looking at before pics of yourself and seeing just how far you've come.
I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL. I TOO THOUGHT THE SURGERY WAS NOT WORKING FOR ME.
AFTER THE FIRST FEW MONTHS I NOTICED THE WEIGHT SLOWED DOWN TO JUST ABOUT NOTHING. THEN I STARTED TO USE THIS CALORIE TRACKER CALLED MY-CALORIE-COUNTER.COM. WHEN I STARTED USING THE TRACKER I WAS AMAZED TO SEE I WAS EATING A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN I EXPECTED.
I GOT TO TELL YOU NOW THAT I AM TRACKING MY CALORIES I HAVE STEADILY BEEN LOSING ANYWHERE FROM 8 TO 12 LBS A MONTH. WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE.
