Hi Tresa,
I was self pay too and it was the best money I ever spent!! We used to joke that my surgery cost the same thing as my husband's dream car... a Lexus.... so now I'm the dream car, he calls me Lexie!!! Be sure to take your medical deductions from your taxes... that will help a lot!!! MY friend actually put her cost on a 0 interst credit card and earned enough air miles to go to Mexico where she strutted herself around Cancun in a bathing suit!!! After the year of free interest, she took out a home equity loan to pay off the card and now she has even more of a deduction because of interest!!! Be smart... make it work for you!!!
Good luck to you......
